Hi,
if you're able to go and tape one show in
Variety Playhouse - Atlanta, GA
please reply privately for details.
I'll pay for concert ticket, blanks and beverages. Or I can trade (have lots
low gen for trade, different artists. I can do DVD-Rs too, for example Peter
Gabriel 2002 shows).
Thanks for the help!

This is long, so the bandwidth tax is extra fat.
Not all are these DATs are beautifully labelled: Some have printed j-cards,
some have scribbled notes. Most are on Sony DDS tapes, but some are on others.
I have no time to listen to all of them to see if they're clean. Some may have
diginoise or other problems of aging, but they were OK when I last listened to
them, except what's noted below. Some 48, some 44.1.
I think I count 33 tapes sitting here. I'd like to get $70 (That's 2.10 or so
each). Postage included. Sound fair?
The first person who wants the whole pile will get them.
BWT: Four people, whether or not they want any of these, can have something
from my list (CD or shn only--sorry) for B&P. I'll take the first two, and two
digesters. If you're a digester, prove it.

Subject: TCD-D100 Operational Question
Date: Sun, 16 Feb 2003 00:31:43 -0800
I recently purchased a D100 from a local electronics store at a good
discount, but it didn't come with the owner's manual (hence the discount).
I've located a replacement manual from an online vendor that I'm purchasing,
but until it arrives, I have an operational question/issue that maybe
someone can help me out with.
When I load the tape and hit Play, the LCD light turns off and displays the
Clock Time, and then goes to the "start" screen and sits there. I have to
hit Play again to make it move. I figure there's probably a button sequence
issue that's goofing me up, but any info that you can provide before I
receive the manual would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Gregory High

Hey All,
Just got home from the Portland Neil Finn concert and found to my horror nothing on my DAT tape. Apparently my deck misloaded. The time code and meters ran as usual but the tape is blank. Just used a simple CSB>D8. Did any of you happen to tape this show? I have both New York, Boston, San Diego, Anaheim and Los Angeles from this tour and several from the last tour too. I especially want the Portland show but perhaps another Neil Finn show will help ease some of my pain. Please contact me privately <gregweston@frenzmail.net>
Thanks!
Greg

Subject: Mic to Line Level "box"?
Date: Sun, 16 Feb 2003 11:37:10 EST
Greetings! Six degrees in NY; storm on the way. Whoopee.
Q: What device will take a microphone and amplify it to line level so I can
feed a Marantz CD Recorder? Mixers are too overkill/expensive for the single
microphone being used. RDL sells a unit that might do the trick; anyone have
other suggestions? I know the inclination would be to get an outboard A to D
box and then feed the CD recorder this digital signal- which I could do- if
it isnt a lot of $. Thats why analog might be my preference.
Suggestions? Thank you in advance.

kinda late since its already started but nonetheless,
anyone who is doing sno-core dates (listed below),
please tape(most likely) the opening band dredg. in the past they've been
taper-friendly vid/board etc, but since its a "festival" setting it may be
best to stealth, find a band member.
I'd personally be interested in tapes from glassjaw and dredg
thanks in advance.
