That's a lot bigger than a D7, maybe 3 times the volume.

I've got about 80 dats that I just don't listen to much anymore that I am
sure some folks would like. I'm asking just $1 a piece, plus shipping. Or,
if you'd rather no money changes hands, I'll do blank for blank.
I'm in Seattle, in case anyone local wants 'em.

My Nomad is about 5.25" long, 5" wide, 1.25" thick. That would be
around 33 cubic inches, but it's rounded, so a bit less.
The D7 is 133 x 37 x 88 mm (spec sheet), that's about 5.25" long, 1.5"
thick, and 3.5" wide. So, it might have more volume (I'm not about to
dip them both in water to find out), but I'd certainly consider it
smaller (albeit not by as large a factor as I thought).

Howdy,
I have set up a newbie w/ a rig here in Atlanta and the last thing he needs
is the 120v>6v Wall Wart power supply for his Sony D7. If anyone out there
has an extra to sell or knows of a suitable alternative, please contact me

I'm about to become a father and I've also been considering changing my
taping rig to something hard drive-based (I've got a notebook I might be
able to use). So I've made the decision to part with my beloved M1 for a
little cash to see me through for a while. I've had it about a year, used it
to tape about 8 shows and it works perfectly. I'm looking to get $425 or so
for it but would consider reasonable offers. I'm thinking of putting it up
on eBay soon but thought I'd try here first. It doesn't have any noticeable
dings. I'll include the original packaging, batteries, charger, AC adaptor,
and a high-capacity external battery that will power this thing with the
light on, recording, giving a digi patch and analog patch and with the
headphones all the way up for 6 or 7 hours. I also have a Sony 7 pin to
optical cable I'd like to sell with or without the deck.
Email me for details, pictures, and hopefully offers.

Subject: Strange problem
Date: Thu, 20 Feb 2003 09:10:58 -0800
I got a sweet recording of moe. but there is one problem that popped up twice thought the three hours I recorded. The problem is there is about (I'm guessing) 2-3 seconds of music missing in two different sections of two different songs. Its not blank, or a dropout but as if you were to hit pause for a few seconds and then release to continue recording. The only thing I did (a few times) was hit the Peak Reset on the V3 when the 0 level light went solid (I assume this is like when the margin on a DA-P1 goes to 0) and then, ever so slightly bring some of the trim down. Other than that, the DA-P1 was in HOLD the whole time but it sounds to me like maybe it was the deck that glitched, no? Or maybe the digi connection perhaps? I was using the digi-coax out of the V3 into the P1. I have never experienced this before and am totally baffled why it happened. I'd like to prevent from happening again. Has this happened to anyone else?

Has anyone had any luck bringing in their rigs to any
of the shows?
I've talked to Sparta's manager, and he said no
digital audio/video allowed (however VHS was ok???)
Personally, I'd rather not stealth.. would be a pain
anyway, metal detectors at the Roseland (Portland).

Can anyone who can pull a good strong signal for WDET (101.9 FM) tape the
Martin Bandyke 20th anniversary show Friday 2/21 (may be today when this
digest hits)? There's going to be a ton of in studio appearances from a
variety of great acts (Lucinda Williams, The The, MeShell Ngedeocello, Los
Lobos, and many more) from the last 20 years that have not been heard since
they aired. It looks like it will be on the air from noon until three. I can
get an internet stream of it, but the quality isn't very good. I bet this
show will be a keeper! Please let me know if you tape it. I'll make it worth
your while if you can get me a copy.
WDET also had a web site at www.wdetfm.org with the schedule and streaming.
Thanks!!!

There's also the Archos Jukebox Recorder 20GB. I haven't tried live
recording, but it will take a mic and the mp3s I've recorded directly to the
drive sound excellent. No reason live recording wouldn't sound just as
good, plus the batteries last forever.

Hallo there.
Anyone know what the deal is with the gentleman who makes these, Zach? I
sent my money order to him 3 weeks (from within the U.S.) ago and still
haven't heard anything back. No response to my e-mails, and certainly no
mics have arrived.
I really don't want to have to call him, but I mean, come on! I was
planning on taping a show with them next Friday.
Anyhow, some imput would be nice.
Be well.

I really do hope you sell it soon because I for one am very tired of
hearing about it. Isn't this the same deck that used to eat every tape you
put in it? Or did it suddenly start working flawlessly?
