Kindtaper was good enough to go the distance on this one. It turns out that
this site is actually doing a sort of organized b&p type of a deal. No big
money deals or shady characters. Looks like I called it wrong on them
selling for profit. Good to find that out. Thanks kindtaper.

Sorry for the cross post.
Mike Dillon (percussionist & vibes player from Critters Buggin, Garage A
Trois, Claypool's Frog Brigade, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe) is out now with
his band Malachy Papers.
Remaining dates include:
March 10 - Tritone, Philadelphia, PA
March 11 - Fish Tank, Lexington, KY
March 12 - Melange, Carbondale, IL
Please go and tape. Mike's playing drum kit, vibes, and percussion and I
can say seeing him in this setting is flat out amazing. Complete pushing of
the envelope and by one of the nicest guys out there, period.
Check out www.malachypapers.com for more info.
Thanks,
Peter

I'm looking for folks taping the current Calexico Tour of the U.S.
Also interested in any older recordings of theirs. Have a good Calexico col=
lection to trade from (+ Lambchop etc.) and will also tape at least three s=
hows on their european tour in April (OKM II > TCD-100). For that Euro tour=
, I'm also looking for tapers, especially for the U.K. and Greek shows.
Thanks, Carsten

I want to have it too. :-)))
A good online shop to buy cheap and fast Compact Flash Cards is at:
http://www.powerinnumbers.com.au/
I bought there a 256mb Ridata cf card and recently a Transcend 512mb cf card.

American-Digital has been selling these for under $28.96 for quite
awhile now. We've sold 100's without a single return. I have
one in my home surround sound setup....works great and one
in my DAT and CDR recording setup that also has been flawless.

I like to think our longer optical cables are resonably priced. You can
pick up a premium Klone cable for $31.96 or a standard grade Hosa
optical cable for just $22.96 (16ft) or $29.96 (30ft).

I haven't seen this discussed yet, but I noticed that some A/D
converters (such as MAudio Duo and Apogee mini-me) now have a USB 1.1
outputs on them, anyone tried using this to record to a nomad Jukebox
3??

Just got a da-p1 (unnerving to hear such fidelity coming out of... well, a tape deck!). May also get a good quality analog cassette deck (both mainly for studio work, the analog deck also to play my analog collection). Would like to possibly get into some trading, but obviously have no tapes to trade. Are taping trees (DAT -> DAT via computer or DAT -> analog) still popular (the datheads faq page seems a bit dated)?
BTW anyone recommend a good analog cassette deck? New ones are getting harder to find...
regards,
Sy
