Cdparanoia: For a soundforge/cooledit type editing package, there's cinelerra. This model has the same guts as the HHB and Tascam model that were released at the same time. No SCMS, on the fly sample rate conversion, all the various digital ins and outs, uses any type of blank, i.e. a professional model. It has been to Otari who pronounced it healthy and not in need of any servicing. It's served me well for years and now needs a new home. This is perfect for doing DAT/MD transfers to CD if you do not have a computer/digi soundcard based system Alex alex@kabella.org ------------------------------ From: Jon Weber Subject: Will Bernard on Tour Date: Mon, 24 Mar 2003 11:29:41 -0800 (PST) Just got this over at the Motherbug list, thought some of you might be interested in promoting (or taping) for a free ticket. Looks like a great deal, but wonder what others results are with these. Core Sound seemed to like the unit real well, but would like to hear the opinions of those using these in the field. Also has anyone had any problems with any particular laptops not working with the Duo. I'll be needing a laptop as well but will probably buy a used one on ebay. Both shows came out nice, particularly Saturdays, I run skm-140s > M2 > M1. If anyone's interested email me privately.
