Subject: Security Lurkers on DatHeads?
Date: Wed, 26 Mar 2003 01:12:14 -0800
"Nas, those of us in security will be looking forward to exposing and
apprehending your stealth taper on March 25, 2003. Six of us are
ex-tapers."
(and we sucked so bad at it we quit doing it and took low paying security
jobs instead)
my comment, why does it take 6 ex tapers to spot one guy?
"If you like Vonda Shepard or Sugarland so much, "why don't you visit a
record store and make purchases?"
my comment, well mr. dumbshit, i already own all the officially released
material by my favorite artists and yearn for more. perhaps thats why i
tape....
"Nas, we started admitting people 24 minutes ago. 12 of us are on the
lookout for 1 taper. (because the 6 wouldn't do it, we are so fucking
retarded we're debating a 1:10 security gaurd to patron ratio just to catch
this guy)
"When we find him/her, we're going to take their microphones and
plug then into a mic-preamp and flip the 12 volt phanthom power switch on.
Have you tried using your mics after they were subjected to 12 volt phanthom
power?"
Yes if my mics got 12 volts they'd ask for 36 more and then work fine thank
you. Perhaps you're under the impression I'm stealthing with ribbon mics you
fucking dumbshit....
"On the other hand, posting other people's email isn't proper, either."
Yeah, and on the other other hand, lurking on this list and then threatening
people isn't proper either. All Mr. Shadow is doing it making himself look
like the dumbshit he really is. 12 ex-tapers to spot one guy in a crowd of
500? Are you that fucking pathetic?
I sure hope this gets posted. This shit really pisses me off.

for sale. I'm looking to get ~600-700 for the pair. E-mail me at
mbecker@richmond.edu I have samples for the mics if anyone is interested.

Based on further information (which was sent to me privately, so I
won't give the details) I suspect that the original "security" sender
was a troll.

Hi,
Does anyone know if all of the SBM-1's jacks ( 1/4",
RCA, and 1/8") can be switched to line-in as opposed
to mic-in. It seems that the only line-ins are the
RCAs. :(
Thanks!

Homebrew 12v 7ah battery, made new in May of 2002, only used 10 times
or so, all with an ad2k+. I no longer have access to anything that
requires 12v's, so I need to get rid of this. $30 includes shipping
(it costs $10 to ship this baby). Email me with any questions. I also have
a charge if someone needs that too.

Subject: Need to borrow a mic stand for ZWAN this Friday in NYC
Date: Wed, 26 Mar 2003 20:52:11 EST
Hi fellow DAT-heads. I will be taping Zwan in NYC at the Hammerstein Ballroom
this Friday night. Hopefully I will get a stand in, but right now it's not
certain. If someone can lend me a stand to borrow for Friday, I will make you
a DAT clone or CDR (your choice) of the show, even if I have to tape without
a stand.
I will be using Neumann KM-140s > AETA PSP-3 > Sony M1
Of course I wish I had DPA 4022s, or even just a Lunatec V3 or something. But
I haven't bought either of those yet ; )
I am purchasing a really nice stand from someone this week, but it will not
arrive at my house before next week.
Thanks for anyone who can help me with a stand or equipment. Contact me if
you can help, thanks!

Hehe, that makes sense now that I actually read the text with it, silly me. That's quite a
low noise level, I can't wait to see what it looks like and how much it costs. If it's in the
right range, it'll be on my short list of must haves.
Thanks
