Hi all,
with regards to what Joel posted some time ago, I would like to add that
Jesse is absolutely pro-taping! Just try to find him a couple of hours
before the show, chat a bit, have your records signed, whatever... Jesse is
very nice and getting a board feed should be no problem. If you can't find
Jesse, ask for Mark who is his tourmanager and soundman. Very friendly guy
as well.
Good luck!
Christian
P.S.
Ryan Adams might show up as well, at least at the NYC show.

I'm hoping some kind soul from this group will be able to help me out. I
have a 20 minute VHS tape that I really want to convert to VCD. No editing,
just a straight run through/conversion. I, of course, cover all postage,
etc.

cannot.

The flaming lips are cool with it, and have even allowed soundboard hook ups
in the past....however, warner brothers isn't. So i'd go with stealthing.
I imagine security won't be too bad either, they're playing smaller venues,
so unless the venue's are hardcore about security, it shouldn't be that hard
to get stuff in. its usually pretty easy in detroit anyway.

Hello all-
For many years, Dat-Heads has helped me out with information that I
needed, a forum to get rid of things I didn't need and a meeting place
for new friends. Every now and then, I contributed with a bit of info or
insight and provided some newbies w/ free copies as a bandwidth tax.
However, I always felt I took more than I gave...
So, it gives me great pleasure to announce that effective immediately, I
have now put pictures and scans of most of the Nakamichi microphone and
taping items on my web page. The URL is:
http://www.computorney.com/nak
It includes pictures of the various pieces, scans of the info and spec
sheets that came with the units and also some of the different cases and
accessories.
I am still missing scans and information on the CM-700 and an info sheet
on the CM-50, but otherwise, I believe it is pretty complete. If anyone
has any additional information or items I am missing, please let me know.
Thanks everyone and enjoy!!
Mikey

Taped Queens Of The Stone Age last night, Oktava mc012's hyper caps (factory

FOB. Looking for other recent QOTSA shows taped on a decent rigs. I'll try
and have the show transfered tonight. perfer shn trades either on your ftp
server or over aim or other instant message program. Will do a few CDR
trades too. I'm going to do a *slight* bass lift but if you want the full
show as an unedited .shn that can be done too.
Unforuntatly I did miss about 90% of Millionaire, as the fucking hick
security guards gave me hell getting my rig in and i didnt have enough time
to setup. Complete recording is about 70-75mins great set too!
email me for full list although its a mess.

Subject: question-Garcia & Santana with ToP & NRBQ 1/23/88 geneology?
Date: Sat, 5 Apr 2003 17:08:40 EST
I just recieved a nice 2CD set of the 1/23/88 Blues For Salvador Concert in
trade and I absolutely love it! Garcia and Santana smoke on these jams and
all the other musicians are great too. My question is - is this commonly
circulated from one particular source? And if it is, does anyone know the
equipment or geneology? It's what I consider a good, but not great
quality,1988 audience recording. It seems mastered from cassette as it has a
little hiss and its a little muddy at times, but overall the instruments and
vocals are clear and its got plenty of low end. Its extremely enjoyable and a
very high energy performance. My copy came without geneology information but
otherwise matches perfectly to the JerrySite list. The guy I got it from
didn't know. If anyone knows geneology or equipment, please let me know. Its
a great show and Garcia was obviously loving it. Here's the information I
have:
=================================
Jerry Garcia, Santana, Tower Of Power, etc
Blues For Salvador Concert January 23, 1988
Henry J Kaiser Convention Center, Oakland, CA
CD1:
01 What Is Hip?
02 Soul Fascination
03 Instrumental
04 Turn On Your Lovelight
05 Goodnight Irene
CD2:
01 Jam #1
02 Jam #2
03 Johnny B Goode
04 Shake Rattle & Roll
05 Latin Jam
06 Funk Jam
CD1: Tower of Power with Garcia, Santana, Weir & Chester Thompson on all (+
add Wayne Shorter & Randy Jackson on track 3)
CD 2: Allstars Jams w/Santana, Garcia, Weir, Tower of Power horns & Chester
Thompson on all (+ add NRBQ on tracks 3 & 4)
Notes: tape flip splice in Jam #1 CD2 - only a few seconds missing
=================================
I'll also take a few B&Ps from each list I sent this to and a bunch of trades
if anyone is interested. Please send a link or list if you'd enjoy a trade.
Stu
PS. A few recordings I'm searching for at the moment are:

7/1/74 Jerry/Merle - Bottom Line
11/8/74 Jerry/Merle - CWPost College
