i might be allowed to patch my minidisc into the soundboard for the
upcoming folk implosion shows in utrecht and amsterdam - if anyone can
tell me what cables i need for this (and where in europe i can order
these), i'd be very grateful. i've heard that different boards require
different cables - true?
note: my md (jvc xm-r70) has both an optical line in and a mic plug in.

Hi, what are some good cardioid condensor mic brands/models to get for live
recording and to also use in the studio for around $400/$600US (mainly
wanting them for live recording).
Are the Oktava MK012 any good for Live recording?
Thanks for advice

don't have ABS?

Greetings,
I'm still looking to sell a Flying Cow 20 Bit AD/DA Converter. I've
lowered my price target, so I'll entertain nearly any offer. I've got
to pay for a new subwoofer for my home theater, so I'm trying to sell
any non-essential gear. This falls into that category since I ended up
using this item only once before I got out of taping. I had it serviced
by the manufacturer and it came back with a clean bill of health, and
has been treated with the utmost care. Thanks!
Peace & pearl jam...

anyone has a nice used pair they no longer need. E-mail me off list at

Howdy folks,
I just picked up a pair of radio shack omni mini-mics to play around with
and I'm having some problems pumping enough power into them so that I can
get a nice noise free recording. I don't think I'll ever record concerts
with them...I mostly got them to just walk around and record stuff. There's
been so many times that I've wanted to record certain sounds where setting
up my entire taping rig wouldn't be an option. They're just a fun thing to
have. I'd only record analog so I could adjust my levels on my recording
device. If anyone has a used battery box (I assume this is what I need) or
suggestions on where to get one, or even make one (I'm no electronics wiz),
I would really appreciate it. I only spent $25 on these things so I'm not
looking to spend a lot of money. Thanks for any help!
Mike BB
