"And so you see my friends," he was saying, "everything is both complicated and simple. This is the fundamental rule that governs the world. Things that appear to be complicated are very simple where motives are concerned. It is just a matter of what we are looking for. Dig beneath the complicated surface of reality. The stupid ones can never break free of the apparent complexity. They grope through the darkness, searching for the exit, and die before they are able to comprehend a single thing about the way of the world". Looking for info from anyone who has attended/recorded any of the current
2003 Def Leppard shows. Looking to see if there is an opening band(s) or if
it's "An Evening With..." Def Leppard by themselves. Also what the
approximate set time is for their show and/or if they run an intermission
with 2 sets. Any info is much appreciated. Please respond via email, thanks.

Tapers still needed for the current Subhumans US tour.
These guys play 'serious' punk material. Take note of
that before contacting me. They are taper friendly
and this round of taping is with their approval. The guest
list and tape expenditures will be part of the package.
Please contact me direct ASAP for details.
Thanks,
Carl

Hey folks. I was cleaning up CDs and had some dups which I don't need (15
total CDs). I'd like blank CDs in return (FUJI, Taiyo Yudens, Mitsuis or
Riteks). I'd take 15 blank CDs and I'll take care of postage. E-mail me if
interested.

I have been toying with the thought of selling or trading off my
collection of 300 DATs. They have literally been sitting in my garage
unused for about 3 years now, and it seems a shame to hold on to them,
knowing that others might enjoy them and actually put them to use. I
don't really know what I would like in return, but feel free to have a
look at the collection (the list is at
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/smogol21/JEN/tapes/DAT.TXT and pics of
the collection are at http://mywebpages.comcast.net/smogol21/JEN/tapes/
Many are masters, and they come in the wall mountable racks shown in the
pictures. I would entertain any reasonable offer.

If any of you folks can work a DAT or computer
system that will mkae great CDs ot Clones of DATs
then then you can do MORE THAN JUST HIT REPLY!!!
We do not need the whole list again ! I am in
Mt.Zion ,SF for surgery tomorrow. If you all do this
then I will have an overloaded mail box when I am able
to fire up my'puter next.
And Yes I have made the same mistake before, but got
flamed to the PITs of HELL FOR such a simple mistake.
If eveyrbody goes back to the home page for DAT
heads it is a trading list for mostly the Dead.
I have had great educations, including what I am
bitching about , from this list. But I ackknoledged
that I messed up!
So please , everybody, think about what you are
doing. I do not post much any more as I feel like I am
light years behind all who have moved to servers,
laptop recording and more. But I will ask for some
info and there are many people that will help out.
Then there are many who do ot realize that a 50 yo man
did not have a calculator, let alone a computer to go
to school on! To those that do, you know I am very
generous with gratuities.
Thanks for the rant and rave..
Peace, Michael

To a nameless friend(?) , congeatulations on getting
married. I know... You could not afford even an
invite. Its cool. you took care of me when I was down
and I thought I had tried to repay you and hope to do
so in the future. I hope yous is an in-door wedding.
To the rest of you. If I owe you tapes or discs,
please be patient. I am a slacker, ask my friend who
is getting married, but all good things in all good
time.
My best to you all and may Jazz Fest be kind to you
and yours and to the rest of you. PLEASE , enjoy life
and I will contact you when I get back upright...

someone was asking about the flaming lips' taping
policy last week, i forget who. go! tape! i've gone
the last two nights, and audiotaping was fully
permitted. no stands were allowed at venue #1 (9:30
club), so be ready to hat-mount. stands were allowed
at venue #2 (recher theater), but only in a
sub-optimal location, so i just wore the hat again and
tore it up. (mbho 603a/200n > sonosax sxm2 > d8, if
anyone's curious.)
if anybody brings out nice german mics to tape 'em,
i'd love to hear from you!
oh, one caveat: lots of balloons. lots. be ready to
defend!
cheers
peter
