I recently bought a combo DVD/VHS unit hoping to replace both a VCR and a CD
player. But I was disappointed to discover that the DVD player when playing
CDs does not pass the track IDs through the digital out to my DAT deck.
Does anyone know if this is typical of ALL DVD players? Of all combo
players?
Thanks for your assistance!

I'm still trying to track down some folks who can tape the following Los
Lobos shows:
4/26/03 Double Decker Festival, Oxford MS ( Free Show - North
Mississippi Allstars are also performing)
4/27/03 Festival International de Louisiane, Lafayette LA (Free Show -
tons of great zydeco and other music as well)
Please get in touch if you can catch either of these shows - thanks!

I attempted to tape the doors last night at roseland. long story short, got
viped and well, that's the most awful area to try to do anything. so I
ended up with some awful sound here and there. I was wondering if anyone
else had taped it, and what you ended up with.
thanks!

Help!
This deck has been a workhorse for the 2.5 years I've owned it... and
just recently doesn't seem to be findind a digital INPUT. I've
tried both of my 7-pin cables (oade and pro-digital) and tried
several different sources for a signal (computer soundcard, other
DATs) without any luck.
I can get a digital OUT with both of my 7 pin cables... and I can
record with the analog input, which is the 1/8" jack.
Am I missing something completely obvious, or is it time to send it
in for repair?
Thanks for any input!
-Pete

Ahem - all those people singing the praises of the Nomad JB3...
It still only works with Wintel, right? Have Nomad released any MacOS
or Mac OSX drivers yet?...
No. Didn't think so.
So for those of us who aren't Bill's Slaves, the Nomad JB3 is unusable
as a *digital* replacement for DAT or MiniDisc :?(
