gabriel --
if you'd like to inform datheads of tourdates of
multiple performing acts, it'd be a lot less annoying
if you could simply post links to pollstar.
furthermore, are those "various interesting" bands
even taping-friendly? i've only ever heard of one of
them, and that was only in passing.
does anyone else feel the same way?

Ok, so now I have two attenuator cables and am needing to know exactly how I
use the Denecke AD-20 to digitize a line level signal for a stereo signal. I
need to know how to hook up the cables. Thanks in advance for your help.

I just got a Yamaha OPL3-SAx WDM Driver for my computer. I'm using a TASCAM
DA-30 MKII and would like to upload from the DAT to the computer. What kind
of software do I need? Where can I find it?
Thanks,
Jeff

just to clarify, prodigital is in BROOMALL, PA, a suburb of PHILADELPHIA,
and it is about 200 miles closer to NYC or WASHINGTON D.C. than it is to
PITTSBURGH, PA (which is on the far western side of the state)
here's their website: http://www.prodigitalinc.com/

I recently got a DDS drive to use in extracting audio from DAT's. I
found that the available windows products were all rather expensive (I
can't really afford a $50 program to transfer 5 dat's, as I don't own
a DAT deck, I just borrow one when the occasion is handy, but I could
afford a $6 DAT drive.) so I installed everything on a linux machine
I've been tinkering around with as a web/database server, and used
wdat to extract the audio from the DAT's.
And now, I'm somewhat stuck. I FTP'ed the resulting .wav files over
to my PC to tinker with them in CoolEdit a little (they need a bit of
work to sound good) and Cool Edit won't open the file. Winamp will
however, and says it's a 48K PCM file and plays the audio just fine.
I'm at a loss to figure out why Cool Edit won't open the wav files.
Is there a better (or perhaps, correct) way to do what I'm attempting
to do, and do it all (aside from the EQ work) in linux, and have the
result come out in a format that I can use on my PC?
oh, for what it's worth I'm running Red Hat 9 on the machine right
now, if the flavor of linux matters for any useful programs and/or
scripts. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey all,
I pulled off stellar copies of Beasties 4/25/03. Source is MBHO
603a/Ka200n>sound devices Mp2>sony d8 @ 48khz.
Then>> wav via emagic audiowerk2 digital input from tascam da20mkII.
Transferred using soundforge 4.5 and resampled from 48khz>44.1 khz at the
highest quality setting (level 4).
The prime thing i'd like to trade for is tonight's coachella set that i'm
not at.
I'm also looking to get this spread on some servers or to a few via dat/cd
trade.
Email me at istone626@earthlink.net
Peace,
Ian Stone
