Howdy,
I've scanned the web for awhile and not seen an Urge Overkill message board. I'm
looking for some pre-95 UO shows, as I have a heavily-circulated FM from '95 that
showcases material I don't like that much. I'm looking for Supersonic Storybook-era
material. Please email me off-list. Thanks.
Large list of many bands, styles to trade.
Jonathan

If you are like many tapers, you hardly ever have a chance to listen to your old dat masters because they are not on cdr, I may have the answer for you. I'd be interested in taking a look at what you have that needs to be transfered, and doing just that.
I have a SONY PCM-R5 and will burn onto a HHB CDR-850. I have been making some very sweet transfers, and can do the same for you.
What I am looking for is this:
Digital soundboard masters.
Digital FM masters.
Shows with no digi noise, drop outs and flaws.
If this interests you, drop me a line.
Cheers!
Mitchell

I'm with Bogus on this one. Please keep those detailed tour dates
coming. Pollstar is WRONG a lot, and Ticketbastard- well let's just
say they get plenty of our $$ without us DEPENDING on them for
information as well.
I have taped shows that I would not have known of because of such
DAT-HEADS alerts. That mouse is a very powerful thing, you can skip
right past stuff you don't wanna read.
I could say "please don't post details of gear that I don't wanna buy
or don't know about" (anything Wintel, thanks!), but I'm happy enough
that we have a nice forum, so I scroll past 'em, heck, maybe I will
accidentally learn something if I scroll slowly. . .
Smile, Y'all, and have a good summer tour season!!!

PS- Big Shoutout to Greyson for the GREAT TAPE DECK! Thanks man! AOK!

I can't seem to get my Zefiro to hardware resample.
(48 to 44.1) I'm using Win 98SE, and everything
else seems to be fine, but I can't seem to
get it to resample (selected "play normal", and
I get MS SoundMapper errors, and MM01System
Errors and such)
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Folks,
I am in need of some assistance.... Can anyone tell me how to get my DA-P1 to write time code? I just recently started recording with it again and cant for the life of me figure out what Im doing wrong. Here's what I am doing:
I press and release the record button once,
Then I hold down the record button while I press and release the play button.
This gets the tape rolling and the recording started, but no time written.
Please help!!

After you load the tape, hit "rewind" to let the deck know it's at the
beginning of the tape.

So you need a stereo RCA (dual plugs) > 1/8" Stereo Mini (Single Plug)?
You can pick up a cheap one at any Radio Shack. If your interested in
an audiophile cable, I can order you one.

Sorry, let me know if I'm alone on this, but these posts have GOT TO
STOP! If your interested in posting bands tourdates, just add a link to
a web page for us to get them, if we care. 99 times out of 100 I could
care less about the bands or have never even heard of them. This group
is not intended as a band promotion list, its for discussion of
DAT/recording related matters period.
My 2 cents

Modest Mouse is playing a few shows in may and I'm looking for people who
can tape them. They're very taper friendly. They allow board access and
mic stands as long as the venue is cool with it. Here are the shows I'm
looking to get covered:
5/10/03 University Ballroom - Missoula, MT
5/12/03 MacEwan Hall - Calgary, AB
5/25/03 Plaza of Nations - Vancouver, BC (W/The Flaming Lips!)
If you can help out, email me at gace0003@tc.umn.edu and we'll work
something out.

Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2003 00:18:40 -0400
I recently bought a used TCD-D8 and I have noticed that there has been a
slight problem with it. The problem is when I play back the tapes...some of
the time, it is fine and there are no problems at all. But sometimes, when
I rewind or fast-forward the tape, as soon as I press play, there is a
slight buzzing noise for a second, and then it goes back to normal. If I
press stop, and then play again, the noise doesn't come back. Its hard to
describe what kind of a sound it is making...its a sort of distortion...you
can still hear the recorded music, but it is all distorted. This sound
doesn't last for long, less than a second usually. If anyone knows what
this problem could be, please let me know asap. I need to know whether or
not I should try to get my money back or not, or if this problem can be
fixed. Thanks,
Lauren

Anyone know what the taping policy of Opeth is? they're playing at the

if I have the funds to do so at that time.
Also, Ted Leo (ex-Chisel, Citizen's Arrest), who is pretty pro-taping,

tape that show)
Let me know if you can do any of these shows, as I'd like to get copies
