A couple years ago, I heard it was almost impossible to tape there because security was always on the lookout for tapers. Has that changed at all?? Please let me know. I'm hoping to tape the Deftones there tomorrow night. She asked me to see if I could find a copy. You all know the rest... :v) Adam ------------------------------ From: "Tatina, Bill" Subject: tr Date: Sat, 3 May 2003 09:40:39 -0700 tim has a new dvd out, great stuff! http://stores.musictoday.com/store/dept.asp?dept_id=3D70&band_id=3D30 http://www.timreynolds.com/homepage/ Speaking of Dave & Tim... I tried to e-mail Gary directly but the message bounced back to me. ANY help appreciated! Thanks ------------------------------ From: Keith Bode Subject: Re: Tour Dates, etc Date: Sat, 03 May 2003 13:12:48 -0700 > I don't see any of those complaining offering to create or > maintain a website for bands that they don't care about and have never > heard > of. That has to be about the most thoughtless, selfish comment, I have read on a list. For an individual to think someone who doesn't want to know about bands they dont'care about creating and updating a website about the bands they don't want to know about is ludicrous. You couldn't pay me enoough to do it, let alone do it for the community. I didn't bother to look who wrote this, but it sounds like an idea some self absorbed 7 year old would have. Date: Sat, 03 May 2003 16:18:19 -0400 Hello, I was hoping someone could help me find or trade with me for this show: Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi and others, January 31, 1998 Count Basie Theater, Red Bank, N.J. I believe there is a Soundboard source in circulation. Or maybe it's ALD? Please email me if you can help. Thanks. _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ------------------------------ From: Jason Neely Subject: Shorten on OS X reinstalled Reply-To: bondibox@bellsouth.net Date: Sat, 03 May 2003 16:57:20 -0400 And it was truly a pain in the arse .. After doing a clean install of my OS to 10.1 a few months back, I couldn't get shntool or shorten to compile. The Dec2002 DevTools package didn't do the trick. So today's project was to do it all over again. I erased my scratch disk, and clean installed the original OS X. After the reboot, I let software update upgrade itself, and also the OS to 10.0.4 I still had the DevTools images from before, and tried to install those. Dec2001DevToolsCD.dmg gave me an error and hosed everything up to that point. I tried again, and installed the DevTools image off the official CD first, then I installed the following in chronological order: Nov 30 2001 Dec2001DevToolsCD.dmg Feb 11 2002 Dec2001ToolsUpdate.dmg Jun 8 2001 DevSDK.dmg Jun 8 2001 DevTools.dmg I may even have double installed one or two of them, but the installer never complained, and most important, didn't quit on me. Not wanting to take any chances, I found the shorten-3.4 and shntool-1.2.0-rc1 Source files at http://www.etree.org/shnutils/ I may have been able to compile the most recent versions, but I didn't want to chance it. Following Mark's invaluable instructions at http://www.etree.org/osx/index.html#contents (mirror: http://mtdshn.home.mchsi.com/macosxshn/ ) I again was able to compile it. Perhaps at this point I could upgrade the OS on my scratch disk to 10.1 and then 10.2, but I'm leaving well enough alone. If anyone does take this extra step and winds up will a fully functioning shorten running on 10.2, please post the news to the list. As it is, I'll have to reboot into the scratch OS in order to run these. PS if anyone needs the older versions of devtools, which Apple no longer makes available, I'd be happy to upload them somewhere, or send you a CD. PPS The new Sound Studio from felttip is very stable! And it records with the Delta DIO 24/96! And it doesn't resample the outgoing stream!
