Scrolling past all these posts debating the listing of Tour dates and the actual Tour dates themselves that are still being listed on the list. Also, not to mention the other lengthy emails including the one about the guy that lost his prized record collection once again! I think I've seen that story a few times already. By scrolling down it sure hasn't taken me long to read the Digest lately. _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus ------------------------------ From: "John Cocci" Subject: FS: Sonicase Pro Date: Sun, 4 May 2003 13:57:26 -0700 This is the smaller version of the Sonicase, it has 3 shelves. I did some tests at home (comparing them to my Oktava's) and I was very pleased with the results. I haven't had many opportunities to try them out in a live situation but I was able to record my friend's band at an outdoor party. The recording came out really well but I had some brickwalling problems when the music got too loud. Since there's really nothing I can about the brickwalling with my current rig they're not really going to work for me (and I already own a pair of mics). Besides how they sound, the mics "look" really nice. Definitely a lot nicer looking and better built than my Oktavas. The mics come in a nice hard plastic case with shock mounts, wind screens (which work really well, it was a windy day when I used them), stereo bar, a 2 year warranty and a printout of both of the mic's frequency response curves. I think these are a great deal and are totally worth it. I'd like to get $160 for the pair plus shipping. For more info on the mics, including pictures, check out: http://www.superlux.us/smalldiaphragm.html Mike Beebe ------------------------------ From: Jason Neely Subject: Shorten on OS X - Post Mortem Reply-To: bondibox@bellsouth.net Date: Sun, 04 May 2003 23:34:50 -0400 If anyone really cares: > I compiled the very latest versions, shorten-3.5.1, shntool-1.2.3, and > textutils-2.0 without any problems at all. They still work after upgrading > to 10.1.x, and probably will after the 10.2 upgrade. I spoke too soon. Anyone got these running on 10.2.x??? ------------------------------ From: Eric Eckberg Subject: ISO: SONY DTC-59ES SERVICE MANUAL Date: Sun, 4 May 2003 21:21:38 -0700 (PDT) If anyone has the service manual for the SONY DTC-59ES it would be appreciated. Thanks, greg ------------------------------ From: Jazzb48@cs.com Subject: NEUMANN KM140 mics Date: Mon, 5 May 2003 03:22:25 EDT I have a used pair of Neumann KM140 mics for sale on ebay. They are 3 to 4 years old and do not have many hours accumulated. I also have a Sound Device MP2 that I would consider selling as well. Don't really want to sell but need the cash. Please let me know if you are interested. ------------------------------ From: Michael Miller Subject: List Etiquette Date: 05 May 2003 13:07:00 -0400 For those of you who don't already know this, it's considered very poor form to forward private correspondence to a public list. This is especially true when one party has intentionally tried to keep a pissing contest off list. And if anyone is interested in some of my tapes, please join any of the lists devoted to live music. Everyone on this list already has more tapes than they can listen to, so mine get offered to people who don't really have another source. And on those lists, tour date posts are both appropriate and welcome. michael ------------------------------ From: Colin Liston Subject: porter batiste stoltz taping?
