Apparently he is on hiatus or the GNR thing is over and will be opening some shows for Jesse Malin including a show on May 9 at The Bowery Ballroom in NYC and also in Mpls at the Uptown on May 17. I'm not sure if he playing more dates with Jesse or not and have no idea who Jesse Malin is but would love a copy if anyone pulls a tape of Tommy Stinson. Have lots of Mats,Westerberg and a few Bash and Pop shows to trade. A classic to make up for the bandwith down below. Thanks

Well it seems that is it time to send my old Panasonic sv-3200 in for some
maitenence. Nothing major, but some quirks are developing and I want to get
it fixed before it costs me a recording. But I am not sure who I should send
this to. Anyone have some suggestions for a good place to send my DAT for
repair?
thanx in advance for any help

All offers considered.....
Great little small player, with wired remote. As small as a tape and
2 AA batt's. Barely been used, has about 3 hrs on it since last
service. has been sitting in my office unused for a while. Email if
you would like photos, I dont even really travel with DAT's to listen
to anymore. Includes adapter to have normal 1/8" headphone plug on
remote, sony case and another padded case. I would prefer to take
payment via paypal, but I will accept money order as well. I will
also be shipping the unit via FedEx if that makes some of you feel
better.

E-mail off list if you're interest before they go up for auction.

Taped the Deftones set with SS DSM/L's into an M1. Clips can be heard at
http://www.fucough.com/deftones/.
As of right now, I will only trade with others who have taped shows from
the current tour using DAT.

One last note on my Shorten Saga. Thanks to the very helpful comments made to
me off list, I think I owe it to the knowlege base to pass this on:
Installed versions of shntool, etc. appeared to break with the 10.2 upgrade.
Not so - the terminal shell just limits its search path. Easily fixed with the
command
echo 'setenv PATH /usr/local/bin:$PATH' >> ~/.tcshrc
If you are already running 10.2.5 you can still compile shorten if you install
gcc first. This apparently works, but is untested on the bondibox.
good luck

I have 2 tickets for the Raleigh Phish show. I would like to trade 1 or
both for 1 or 2 Phish Atlanta tickets. (Raleigh Section - LAWN x 2). I
was just notified last night about receiving the tickets. Please email me
if you would like to arrange a swap (I will also be at the Charlotte show
if that makes the swap easier).
Take Care,

Subject: WAV comparison app, or "declicker"?
Date: Tue, 06 May 2003 07:58:54 -0400
Hey Folks,
I posted this a while ago, but I thought I would check on more time...
I've got a Prodif 24 (ISA) running in a 500MHz PC, with an AGP video card.
I extract from DAT ( Sony 670) via an optical cable (SPDIF), with all auto
sensing and other stuff turned off. I have been getting maybe 5-15 pops or
clicks (both channels) in a one hour recital (organ music, if it matters),
randomly scattered. By increasing the buffer size and number (in
Samplitude) I was able to reduce this number of pops, but not eliminate
it... Hard drive is 7200 rpm 40G Maxtor. I've tried all the standard
tricks to eliminate the pops, but they still sneak in there sometimes...
Questions:
1. Does anybody know of an app that will let me compare two complete wav
files(if I were to extract twice), and "fix" (the way EAC compares and
fixes on the fly) any differences that it finds.
2. Or an app that will scan a WAV file and return a report of the position
of "suspicious" jumps in the wave-form, so I could go in and fix or snip or
smooth them out using Samplitude? Is this what "declicking" software does?
Since the errors are usually just abrubt jumps in the sample values, I can
find them manually, but it takes a while.
Thanks,
Mac

I've seen the Team Sleep demos in mp3, which i had for a while, but would
rather have a "clean" version of the demos.

First off, apologies up front regarding the crossposting.
Second, recently traded for a Gillian Welch show (Fillmore; SF, CA
6/28/02). Totally great show, but unfortunately the person I traded w/
neglected to mention that the whole second disc has the sound of the mic
being either constantly moved, or brushed up against. Result is an annoying
"rustling" sound that runs throughout the second disc, and makes it
unlistenable. Would love to find another source that's a bit more friendly
to the ears. If anyone can help out (in cd-r format), I'd greatly
appreciate it.
Thanks and take care.
