Simply, I'd like to offer up copies to the first 3 people who want to hear it. I'll supply the discs, all you need to do is send a SASE B&P style. Now, "It" is an unsourced FOB that starts out very thin sounding but does fill out a bit during the "Cold Rain" opener. Interesting thing about the opener...just 3 days before Garcia agreed to a $5,000,000 settlement w/ Mountain Girl. It's also missing most of Drumz>Space. The other thing is that over the years I've only been able to track down this same recording of the show, no other source seems to circulate. If you have either a different source or info on the show, I'd be grateful to hear from you because it's a gem that more folks should hear. The post Drumz>Miracle>SOTM>Sugar Mag absolutely ROCKS!!!! Don't just grab this because it's a free show, you'd better mean to listen to it. If you've bought one and found it to be good quality/good price/good service please let me know where online. Side point: One site(http://www.core-sound.com/7-pin-coax-blurb.html) mentioned that the level were not completely SPDIF complient and since I'll be using it in conjunction with a MOTU 2408, I would need to know if it would work with one. Date: Wed, 14 May 2003 09:15:13 -0700 (PDT) Possibly a new tool for DATheads? These snip come from the article: http://www.forbes.com/home_europe/2003/05/14/cx_ah_0514tentech.html On the outside, it will have a USB 2.0 interface, which means it will likely talk to PCs in some fashion, and will have a blazing fast handheld-to-handheld connection for head-to-head gaming. What clinches the PSP's apparent dual mission is media that will be used for gaming software. Sony calls it the Universal Media Disc and it's a 1.8-gigabyte optical disc in a cartridge. Hope this helps. JoE ------------------------------ From: "Craig F." I have been to the Core Sound web site and they offer a comparison study between the Edirol UA-5, the MAudio USB Duo, & the Apogee Minime. As far as I can tell the main differences between the Duo and the UA-5 is that the Duo can operate in stand alone mode while the UA-5 cannot. Also the Duo can be used at the head of a digital daisychain while the UA-5 cannot. I am aware of the modified UA-5 that Oade Brothers sales that allows the UA-5 to operate in stand alone mode with digital out, but it is my understanding that this mod will disable the ability to output anything from a computer to the UA-5, which really isn't that big of a deal for me personally since I would only be using the UA-5 for input only. My questions are as follows: Between the UA-5 and the USB Duo, which one has the best sound quality? Between the two which has the better a/d conversion? Does the UA-5 have better preamp's than the USB Duo? Thank you in advance for any help that you may be able to offer in regards to these questions. ------------------------------ From: "Bob Siegl" Subject: Stereo Equipment for sale Date: Wed, 14 May 2003 17:41:46 +0000 I have recently purchased some new equipment and am looking to sell some older equipment. This is what I have available: B&W 805 Matrix biwireable speakers *with* Tara Labs RSC 1000 Biwired Speaker Wires (10' 2 spades to 4 bananas). Also includes the fillable speaker stands. $900 Relatively low use on these. I've always used them in second system and bought them from a friend shortly after he purchased them new. Great in a small room. Aragon 2004 MKII dual mono amplifier. 100W per channel > 8 ohms, 200 wpc > 4 ohms. $400 Good Shape, Sounds and Looks Nice B&K AVP 2000 preamp. I run this direct, but it is also a surround sound unit with multiple zones and a world of possiblilties with the amount of inputs and outputs. One set of balanced and the rest RCAs. I also have the remote control and owners manual for this. $350 Good Shape, Sounds and Looks Nice I would sell everything for $1550 ($100 off). All of these pieces (with the exception of the speaker wires) were purchased from my good friend not long after he had bought all of the pieces new. These were all new in the mid-late 90s. We can discuss shipping options. Please email me with any questions. Thanks for reading this.
