From: "Eric Bogart" <bogart.16@osu.edu> Subject: Questions for Engineers Date: Sun, 18 May 2003 16:11:37 -0400 Greetings, I hate to post off topic, but it is somewhat relevant to this group and I hope not to get flamed too badly for it. I am conducting a study of engineers and how long it has taken to get a degree in engineering. I have a quick (30 seconds should do it) survey and I'm looking for data from anyone who has earned a degree in engineering. I really appreciate any help--it's coming down to the wire, and our sample size isn't quite large enough (or diverse enough) to validate our conclusions. From: "Winnie" <who@sover.net> Subject: charging recorder battery for 3 day festivals Date: Mon, 19 May 2003 06:46:57 -0400 For 3 day festivals I want to charge the battery I use for my laptop and the one for my mini-me. They both have chargers meant to go to AC. I have a VAIO laptop with quad batteries and I use Toshiba laptop 12volt NiMA batteries for the mini-me. Any way to do this from a car battery? Will an inverter work? Any recommendations? Thanks! While I have never heard the term "knockout box" applied to anything audio, there is a term used "breakout box" to describe a series of useable connectors from a cabled multi-pin host. No one makes an application-specific extension box (something that would simply extend the individual connections of your various rear-panel inputs and outputs). You may find someone that can build one for you (make sure they know about the fact you are dealing with very high frequencies) or get some money together and look at what we can offer in a patch panel: http://www.friend-chip.de/dmx8.htm Thanks! -- Regards, Klay Anderson, D.A.,Q.B.E. Preferably from the mid 90s (God Shuffled His Feet tour). I was right up front with dead batteries if my memory serves me well. I have a wide variety of great recordings to trade but no mailable list. Mostly Schoeps up front and soundboards. We have only had positive experiences with people taping from the very beginning of our band. So the short answer is you can tape the show. If it comes out good you should send a copy to the Cellsum PO box. Thanks, Al
From: Jason Neely <bondibox@bellsouth.net> Subject: UK Taper wanted to tape KEANE Reply-To: bondibox@bellsouth.net Date: Mon, 19 May 2003 14:19:40 -0400 Be a part of history, please tape one of their single-launching shows: http://www.keanemusic.com/latest/gig.htm Can't describe how much I'm hooked on this band after such a short while. Reminiscent of Coldplay, South, Queen, maybe some early U2. Listen for yourself: http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/ram/se_keane_every.ram Since this is a UK gig you'll probably have to stealth it, I'm guessing the band would be grateful for it though (just a guess). -jas BWT Frank Black 02-04-27 1 CD .shn for trade or B&P

I taped a lot of 93,94, 95 on analog on a boombox and now I am looking to upgrade. Have a massive trade list of thousands of discs and DATs by hundreds of bands as well as the 1997 and 1999 broadcasts on DAT. These annual all star benefit shows were broadcast every year live in their entirety from 1993-1999. http://www.geocities.com/ijwthstd/wantlist.html __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
