Any recommendations for quality xlr-to-xlr cables in the 15 foot variety?
I've been looking at the Audio Magic but they may be a bit out of my price
range. I really need a pair that'll match each other to the same db
frequency (or as close as possible). I'm open to the Audio Magic's as well,
but am looking for someone else who carries them so I can compare pricing
and specs. I've only found one dealer so far. Any suggestions are
appreciated.

I would like to thank all the people that responded, publicly and
privately, that probably helped me avoid a brick walling disaster. I am
going to go with the 20 db attenuating cable. My other question is what
type of tapes should I get to go with my D8 and what is a good place to
buy them. Thanks again, trying hard not to screw it up.

steamboat on may 3rd. I attempted taping it but my dat ate the show for
some reason. I spoke with a guy video recording with a nice mic setup
that said he would email me with info on getting a copy, but i hadn't
heard from him yet. If anyone's got anything, let me know. I'd love to

I was attending a wedding in Napa this weekend, and flew out from Saint
Paul a day early, and was lucky enough to catch a very charming show at the
Avalon in San Francisco. I taped with my Sankens in casual stealth mode
(never forget your glasses if you use them to stealth...) Anyway, this
appears to have been a taper-friendly show anyway, and I saw a few of you
making a very sophisticated multichannel recording of the show on various
media--any chance I could get a clone of that recording?
I stayed as late as I could before catching the bus to the BART station,
and catching the last BART to Oakland (and walking 1.5 miles through
no-man's-land, BTW)... only to arrive home and find that I had a wonderful
ambient tape of BART noises. I had rewound my tape accidentally and taped
over the first set, so my recording's a dud.
Drop me a line if you're one of the fellas who was recording that pretty
good show.

hi everybody,
I came home with a very good sounding tape of Bruce Springsteen & The
E-Street Band in Paris, Stade de France, 24 may 2003.
I have used OKMIIr mics (without a3 battery box) + Sony PCM-M1.
Heavy rain came down through 1/3 of the show, so I had to cover my mics a
bit. The result is still great if you know how much wet we all got by the
end of the show.
Unless you lend me a 7pin-to-coax cable, I can't clone on dat, but I can
offer a raw dump on SHN, Flac and of course audio cds.
Right now I'm mostly looking for the Schoeps versions of the Somerville
gigs, as well as Barcelona + Atlantic City 2003.

I bought this deck a year ago, and never used it. I have a DTC 60 ES,
and never needed a second deck. I had planned on using the R-500 in
place of the 60 ES, but never made the swap. According to the Menu read
out, this deck has 9 hours on the head. The deck is in brand new
condition. I will gladly test the record, playback, Coax in and out.
Unfortunatly I don't have any other digital equipment to check the
AES/EBU connectors. I also have a brand new manual, with a small coffee
stain on the first page, and a brand new remote for the deck. I am
asking $600 for the deck, ad accessories. I will ship it, wrapped
tighgtly in several layers of large bubble wrap via Fed Ex Ground for
$20 to anyplace in the continental US. If you live in the Los Angeles,
Long Beach, Orange county area, arrangements can be made to pick the
deck up. If you'd like other shipping, like overnight, that can be
arranged.
