I'm considering a project and am looking for a dead DAT portable, any
make/model that's been put out to pasture with a broken door, transport,
bad heads, or any combination of the above. A deck that is shot,
basically, but may still have a working input level control.
Drop me a line if your junkbox contains something like this--and you will
let it go for little more than shipping (paypal?)

Has anyone gotten taping equipment into HOB Anaheim in the last year or so?
The last time I was there was 2/22/02 and at that show and many previous
shows they didn't even search.
I've heard that security has gotten much more strict (pat downs AND metal
detector) and I think I found out why. In Nov 2002 someone fired shots at
the Hollywood HOB
(http://www.nbc4.tv/news/1803773/detail.html','width=450,height=225')/)
and I bet thats why they had to beef security up.
Plan to tape David Lee Roth there on Wednesday and would appreciate any info
from anyone who has been to the Anaheim HOB.
Thanks,

Eric Johnson is playing a few shows in the next several weeks. If anyone
could tape I would be eternally grateful and willing to pay for your ticket,
blank media or whatever for a copy. If you've never seen EJ live, you will
be blown away. His live stuff is much more intense than his studio releases.
Here's a few dates:
June 2003
27th/Fri - Grant Street Dance Hall - Lafayette, LA
28th/Sat - House of Blues - New Orleans, LA
29th/Sun - The Variety Playhouse - Atlanta, GA
30th/Mon - Blue Cats - Knoxville, TN
July 2003
1st/Tue - The Lounge - Memphis, TN
2nd/Wed - Dave's On Dickson - Fayetteville, AR
4th/Fri - Eyes to the Sky Festival - Lisle, IL
5th/Sat - Madison Theatre - Covington, KY
BWT: VCD of Spiritualized at Hulfstredt Festival 6-14-02. Very nice audio
and video. 1 track, 56 minutes.
Have a nice day, Danny

I will not be able to attend and need to sell one ticket to Van Morrison at
the Theater at Madison Square Garden on June 13. Sec 200, row B. That's
about 18th row center section and should be a good seat from which to
record. Asking face value $100. I'll eat the ticketmaster charges.

i have 6/5/03 audience to trade for other ES, its
4061>ad20>m1, sorry no SBD was possible, i would rate
it a solid B because some jackass kept yelling out
song requests next to me....but len's microphones did
a great job...i am especially interested in 6/6/03
where i had battery failure....also software wise,
whats the best program for manipulating and cutting up
my dats into usable cdr's? i always end up with this
one track raw recording and would love to know the
BEST software to put on my laptop to adjust my raw
recordings, adios, rich

Subject: SCI in Europe: taping at Roskilde/Glastonbury???
Date: Mon, 09 Jun 2003 17:04:10 +0200
Hey DAT-heads,
The String Cheese Incident is finally heading over to Europe at the end of
this month. They'll be playing at Roskilde Festival, Glastonbury Festival
and a show at Union Chapel in London.
I'm curious how hard it is to get taping-gear into the Roskilde Festival
and the Glastonbury Festival? Can anyone share experiences? Anyone already
planning on taping SCI at either festival? Furthermore is anyone planning
on bringing a full rig to the London show, I would love to make sure it
gets recorded properly!
Any info highly appreciated, looking forward to live music!
Best regards,
Michiel

I'm waiting for the arrival of a Sony TCD-D7 portable
DAT that I bought off ebay. Thing is that it doesn't
include a manual. Does anyone have one of these? If so
could I get a copy of the manual? Or where I might be
able to get one? TIA.
