just guessing at some possibilities:
- if you have a background anti-virus program running try disabling it, or
at least modifying it's scanning options to not scan all files, it could be
trying to examine any new files created during the transfer & mucking things
up
- try defragmenting your hard drives, perhaps the drives are so fragmented
they cannot keep up with the data transfer
- shut down any programs currently in memory when doing the transfers that
are not needed, maybe something is fighting there
try reading/asking about this on the cooledit users forum, maybe there is
something there that can steer you in the right direction:
http://forums.syntrillium.com/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=15&CAT_ID=4&Forum_Title=Coo
l+Edit
also, if you search the 'net i bet you can find other digital sound forums
that could be helpful, possibly some for the midiman cards (?)
please tell us what the problem is after you figure it out
good luck!!

I posted this here once before, and some people expressed interest. F
no one goes for it, I'll put it up on eBay. It's to good to make
available for everyone, first.
This PCM R-500 shows 9 hours on the menu for head usage. It's in brand
new condition. I bought it from the brother of the original owner, and
have yet to use it. Since I bought it, I have continued to use the DTC
60ES I also have. I will gladly test out the functions for everythig
except the AES/EBU in/out as I don't have anything to connect to. This
deck is in brand new condition, including the owners manual and a brand
new remote still in the box. Sorry to be blasphemous, but I want to get
a Teac r2r.
I am aking $600 plus shipping for the deck. Should I be unable to pass
this deck onto anyone on list, and I'd like to see someone who really
appreciates DAT decks with this deck, I'll put it on eBay.

Hey kids,
Just curious how many other David Thomas tapers are there, unless the DT
below *is* the DT from the 80s/90s who used D5 and taped some of the best gigs
ever at Maxwell's, Pier 84, 1018, et al... hrm, and who had an amazing Let's
Active / Red Lorry Yellow Lorry collection (pity I am indifferent). Oh and did
those fab U2 MSG gigs in the 80s.
Anyway, just curious.
Mike

still allow SBD access (they occasionally do/did).
