Ryan Adams 7/4/03 Date: Sun, 06 Jul 2003 15:35:27 -0400 Ryan Adams & The Pinkhearts played a 4:00pm show on Friday July 4th in Battery Park in NYC. I'd love to get a good copy of this show. I understand that soundboard copies were made. If anyone taped this performance, please drop me a line. I've got tons of high quality Ryan (and lots of other artists and groups) to trade in return for this show. Thanks! ------------------------------ From: Richard Russell Subject: mastering software (Mac)? Date: Sun, 6 Jul 2003 14:49:39 -0500 Hi folks, was wondering what type of CD mastering software that Macintosh users prefer. I have been using Digidesign Masterlist Pro, but it's not OSX friendly, nor does it like firewire drives. I want to be able to continue writing red-book standard discs, which itunes and Toast lite won't do. Haven't used toast platinum... Thanks. It has been a while since I've written here. Keith you seem to be well on your way to make some great recordings. I've recorded bands using the method you intend to go forth with only one exception and that is I recorded straight 90 minute DAT. Using a splitter is great and the most important thing is to have an isolated studio environment. I used a Chevy van. The Chevy was great because it had rails on the panels much like studs in a wall (unlike my new Ford). I used 1" blue high density foam directly on the panel. Then there was a couple of inches of space before the perforated panels mounted to the rails. I used thin pieces of rubber strips on the rails to isolate the panels. On top of that I used "fire treated" acoustic foam. There is a pic of the studio on my web site. I've recorded many, many bands using this set up. If you have any questions I'd be glad to be of assistance. I am normally able to get a patch at this club, just as long as it is ok with the band. Just wondering if anyone here knew anything concrete about this bands taping policy. I tried posting on their official message board but didn't get much help there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks BWT: a sbd copy of the show to anyone who can point me into the right direction ;) --Fares ------------------------------ From: Marv Van Haitsma Subject: Looking For Boston Shows! Date: Mon, 7 Jul 2003 09:06:36 -0700 (PDT) List, I'm looking for recent Boston shows...more specifically, last nights Muskegon show....which was a killer show. (Short & sweet!!) But, my recorder kicked off at about 1:35....and therefore, I missed some of the show. I'm hoping there is an alt source out there...please feel free to give me a shout. I have plenty to offer to the right individual. Other dates will be considered....but, I will also "try again" on Wednesday evening. Hope to hear from some kind sole...soon...
