The "encore performance," 30 mins, from the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC
Gary asked about in the previous digest is probably part of the 12/19/97
show, which was partially broadcast in (duh) 1997 or 1998. There's also a
full soundboard of the same date, although not widely circulated - see
my list.

Has anyone ever had any experience with recording rock shows using the
Sennheider the MM-HLSC-1 stealth cardioid mics?

How do they compare soundwise to the well-known Coresound Cardioid stealth
mics, which I've been using for the past years? A big advantage is the
smaller battery box that comes with it...

got a decent recording of fow last night in philly, just over an hour,
available on 48khz shn or 44.1 audio. used dpa4061>d8, about 10 feet off
the stack. looking for other FOW shows, known lineage a must -- please no
mp3s, TAOs, bad analog transfers, etc. would prefer to trade with other
tapers. am also looking for a ton of other stuff -- elliott smith
(especially philly from last month), ben folds, aimee mann, rufus

I recorded this band stealth at 9:30 Club, Irving Plaza, The Tradewinds, and The Trocadero, using DPA 4021's > AETA PSP3 > Sony M1. The tapes are of greatly varying sound, as each venue was way different : ) The band is signed under S-Curve/EMI/Virgin so they cannot officiall allow taping. They do not mind if you tape, but they will go to no lengths to allow any special access, which of course sucks..
If you or someone you may know can tape this concert for me, I will pay for your ticket, transportation, parking, and whatever else you may need (tape, batteries). If you want, I could likely tape a concert in or near Philadelphia, all of NJ, and NYC, in return for this favor.
The set will last 1 hour and 5 min. or maybe a little longer. It's a great pop-rock show filled with extremely talented songwriters and some sweet music too.

green cells in a block of a couple dozen for less than a buck a battery. They are 1800
mh and perform well in my D100. Now I'm looking for a similar deal on AAA cells for my
geeky little handheld handy-talkie radios. Anybody know of a good deal on AAA cells
out there?
