Actually, i'm pretty sure that the 30 min encore performance will be from
this year's $2 bill show that they had there. However, if anyone is
interested, somebody got video fo the entire thing that is pretty great
quality. I think he only released a few videos of it and then disappeared.
As far as I know, it hasn't been circulated at all, but I hope it does.

Namaste Y'all,
is there a way i can get my DA-302 to display the
"time and date recorded" data while playing back a[or
at least inserted] DAT mastered on an M-1?
Also, any suggestions for a standalone burner capable
of DVD, cdr [coax, opti, and rca], with rca inputs to
handle transferring seperate audio from a Hi-8 camera
and audio?
thanks

I just picked up a sweet copy of The Dead's performance @ Willie's picnic on 7/4/03. It was recorded from XM radio to DAT. This happens to be a great show, but there are 4 dropouts from the XM signal. I was wondering if anyone else had the opportunity to record this show, and if they also experienced the same thing.
Please drop me a line. I have much to trade!

I'm asking what I paid for them. Face value + FedEx... whatever we sent away

Thanx!

Howdy folks:
I got some gear I am looking to sell. Anyone interested contact me off the
list.
Have a pair of the following:
Sennheiser K6 capsules: The K6 powering module is the heart of this
Sennheiser professional modular microphone system and can be powered either
by its internal 'AA' size 1.5 V battery or by 12-48V phantom power.
Different condenser microphone modules provide a wide variety of polar
patterns. Matte black, anodized scratch-resistant finish. No scratches,
perfect condition have had them for two years, bought them new.
ME 64 Cardioid mic capsule: Back-electret Microphone Capsule suitable for K6
and K6P Powering Modules. The ME 64 is a cardioid microphone capsule
designed for use with the K6 and K6P powering modules. It has a very wide
range of applications including reporting, interviews, dubbing, live sound
reinforcement and recording applications. Matte black, anodized,
scratch-resistant finish.
Bought them new less than a year a ago, no scratches, perfect condition.
ME 66 Shortshot gun capsule: The ME 66 is a short gun microphone capsule
designed for use with the K6 and K6P powering modules. It is especially
suitable for live taping, film and broadcast location applications and for
picking up quiet signals in noisy or acoustically live environments as it
discriminates against sound not emanating from the main pick-up direction.
Matte black, anodized, scratch-resistant finish. Bought them with the
capsules two years ago, no scratches, perfect condition.
Would like to sell caps and power module togther: New is $1200 looking for
$800
Other stuff:
Denecke AD-20 pre amp: The AD-20 is a high quality battery operated
microphone preamp coupled with a low noise 20 bit ADC. The SPDIF outputs are
optical and coaxial and can drive standard consumer DAT machines or
computers that accept digital audio I/O cards, such as the Zefiro ZA-2.
New $315 - looking for $280 - used it for 3 shows - back up pre-amp -
bought it 3 months ago.
Manfrotto 3333 Basic 12ft stand - have had for year - great stand: $50
Shure Stereo Microphone Adapter A27M: Vertical $50
Anyone interested contact me off the list.
Or call me at 917 807 7033

Subject: Hissy Dat to Hard Drive Transfers
Date: Mon, 14 Jul 2003 22:14:55 -0400
Can someone enlighten me as to why I am picking up hiss when I transfer from
Dat to PC digitally?? I use a Sony 60ES deck, connected to a Sek'd Digi 32
via either coax or optical cable, and I record to HD using either Cool Edit
2000 or Soundforge 6.0. I recently did some tests, and recorded 30 seconds
of silence from my dat to HD. When I play the silence direct from the dat,
even with my amplifier pegged on 10, it's *dead* silent. But the recording
to HD (the .wav file) has noticeable hiss. I burned the blank file to CD,
to make sure the hiss wasn't extraneous (i.e. not part of the file) and the
hiss comes through on the cd, so it must be inherent in the .wav file. Its
driving me nuts.......
At this rate, I might as well go back to analog tape!! :-)
Any advice would be most appreciated.
John

I'm not familiar with this particular card, but a similar phenomenon has
occurred with me using the DIO 2448 (CMI chipset). I suppose it applies
to the Zoltrix Nightingale, Onboard CMI's (like ASUS MoBos), etc. It
turns out that if any analog channel is not muted, then the internal
preamp is activated and fed into the A/D converter and the noise is
digitized from the analog circuitry (which is pretty noisy for the CMI
8338). Make sure that any analog channels (CD, mic, line-in, etc) are
completely muted. If this turns out to be the case, please share it
with the list.

Hi,
I'm trying to find a German taper for a German Radio concert next Monday.
A recent Annie Lennox gig will be on Germany radio.
She will also be on Australia tv performing and I'd like to find a
Australian taper.
If you can help please email me.
I'd be happy to work a trade and cover costs.

Mark,
A large number of German radio stations are broadcast via satellite to
the whole of Europe, so it's possible that a lot of European tapers (not
just Germans) will be able to receive it.
What are the full details of the broadcast (i.e. radio station and time).
If you look at http://www.lyngsat.com/astra19.shtml then you will be
able to see all the radio (and TV stations) broadcast via the "Astra"
satellites at 19 degrees east - the main satellites broadcasting German
programming.
Stations listed as "PAL" are analogue broadcasts, and "DVB" are digital
(i.e. MPEG audio, normally at around 192-256kbit/s).
Regards,
Dave.

I have a Sony D8 that I am looking to get rid of. It is in good shape,
barely a scratch on it and low hours. I haven't had a tape jam or
anything with it. Problem is that with school and work, it has been
sitting in my closet collecting dust for about 9 months now, and I could
use the cash.
I have a 4 D-Cell battery sled that will supply about 20 hours of taping
time with the light on. I also have an Oade Active cable which was $150
at the time of purchase. I have the original power adapter and a few
cables (digi (monster audio), mini-to-mini (generic), RCA to mini
(monster audio). I paid about $600 for the D8 and Oade cable at the
time of purchase, and I would like to recoup some of the cost.
Please reply to me if you are interested and I can send digital pics and
answer any questions you may have.
Thanks,
Bill
