I've got a sweet soundboard recording of Bob Hope in concert on October 27th 1978 @ The Towson Center at Towson State University in (you guessed it) Towson, Maryland.
This show was taken directly off the master analog cassette and burnt to cdr. It contains Bob doing all his stand up stuff as well as many songs sung by Bob and backed up by a full orchestra.
If interested, feel free to contact me for a B&P.

Did anyone catch these Fleetwood Mac broadcasts?
Anaheim, CA on 7/17/03 @ The Pond=20
And San Diego, CA on 7/19/03 @ The Sports Arena=20
These were broadcast "live" on the West Coast on various FM rock =
stations. I got a truncated version of the Pond show in MA a few =
weekends ago. I think it was complete on the west coast, though. I =
have a large list of DAT & cd to offer in return.

The miniDV camera probably has very tight compression which you
cannot turn off, and if you're going through the mic input, probably a
lousy preamp besides. (exception: Canon XL1) Also, you run a
very good chance of brickwalling (distorting) the audio on the
camcorder unless your mic>attenuator>camcorder situation is just
right. On one popular Sony camera I tested, the difference
between "adequate level" and "badly distorted" was very slight; ie,
the camera had no dynamic range.
On the other hand, if you're in a position to plug a soundboard into
a miniDV camera, if you can arrange so there's no overload (proper
attenuators or whatever), the compression can actually help. Many
badly mixed soundboard can be saved by adding heavy
compression, and as a bonus, it will bring up the volume of the
audience between songs.
Finally, I recommend ALWAYS using the "12-bit" audio on
camcorders, because this makes it possible to add a second audio
track. Often you can combine a camcorder tape and a DAT this
way without using a computer. (Hint: If I can't start it exactly right,
I'll lay down the audio slightly *ahead* of the picture; then, I play
the DV tape back through an audio digital delay line (Alesis
Midverb IV) and simply "dial in" the amount of delay needed to
bring the pix & sound together. One you have it correct, simply
rewind the DV and dub it to your DVD recorder or SVHS master).
In theory, the 16 bit audio would sound better, but trust me, the
preamps in these cameras are HORRIBLE and the sound of
concerts recorded from mics at the camera position is, at best,
tolerable, so you're really not likely to hear any difference between
12 and 16 bit audio. But, if you use 16 bit, you forever lose the
chance to dub a second (stereo) audio track.
One more note: in LP speed (90mins or 2hrs per tape), you can
record in 12 bit but you can't dub audio. BUT, if you dub a 12-bit
tape in LP to a tape in SP, you get a 12-bit tape in SP which you
can perform an audio dub to.
