DAT's?
I would answer that with www.american-digital.com
But I may have unfair and skewed opinion ;^)
Other reliable vendors would include:
www.ttapes.com
www.oade.com
www.masterpieceav.com
www.tape.com

I would like to trade for a good reference of Elvis
Costello (in Central Park?) a few weeks ago.
This past Saturday I recorded Robert Cray Band MK4V>SX-M2>SBM1(24 bit)>D100
from the 8th row in Philadelphia if that is appealing...
Otherwise I have a slew of other stuff...
Kind Regards
bob

My Epox 7KXA+ main board w/ AMD 950 is starting to have a few problems so
it's time to upgrade. If anyone has a suggestion for a newer board with
chipset features that work well with audio transfers please let me know.
Thanks,
Ed

I'm looking for a piece of high quality XLR cable around 2ft or more
long. I'd like to have the silver core type like Audio Magic or similiar.
So if any of you have an old/junk cable that's not doing you any good,
please let me know! And let me know how much you want for it.
Peace
Dan

Subject: Editing question
Date: Tue, 5 Aug 2003 19:04:26 -0500 (CDT)
I have a recording with some glitches over a span of a few seconds,
probably from a loose connection. It's during a chorus, and I'd like to
replace it with a corresponding section from an earlier chorus.
Obviously this requires very precise timing of the in and out points to
give a relatively glitch-free result. Is there a straightforward way to
do this with a 2-track editing program such as Cool Edit 2000, or should I
go to a multitrack program?
Thanks,

waits played an hour or so solo? lots to trade (and a lot of debt to get
into) for a copy of the show....

Subject: OT: how to compress freq-range of recording?
Date: Wed, 6 Aug 2003 12:40:12 +1000
Here's one for the audio tech's and engineers out there.
Is there a relatively simple way to compress the frequency range
of a recording, without throwing the information away?
What I want to do is take a typical 20Hz-15kHz recording and
condense it down to (say) 800Hz-900Hz, but do it in such a way
that the information contained outside that frequency band is
not discarded, but rather "remapped" into the final band.
Is this possible? Basically what I want to do is do in audio
what in photography is conversion of a colour photograph
into B&W. (ie. obtain the overall image intensity, but ignore
the intensities WRT each wavelength of light).
I know you can just use notch filters to snip the freq range
you want from a sound, but anyway to compress the freq
range down?
FWIW, I'm using a Mac & OS 10.2.6.

Andrew N.

Hi all. I wanted to see if anyone was trading copies, either dat or .shn, of the 7/2/03 Maryland
Heights, Mo (STL) Willy Nelson & The Dead. That was my first Dead show, though I had oppurtunities to see them
in '94 & '95, but never did.
Thanks.

I am hoping someone out there has any version of the 1996 Phish show from the Omni on video. I used to have a copy, but over time I loaned it to someone and it got lost or they kept it. Anyhow it's gone. I'd be happy with a copy of it or I can put your master tape onto DVD and send it back with your tape. The version I had was part audience and part raw MTV footage. I would also love to find a copy of Halloween 1998 from Las Vegas (all or just the Loaded set) if it exists. I made a post for this a while back and a guy responded saying he had it but I never heard back from him. If you can help with either video, I have some Phish but many DV masters of other bands, all available on DVD.
Thanks,
Wes
