I bought these about 18 months ago and have used them no more than fifteen 
times total. They are in great condition but I just can't justify holding 
onto them any longer with such little use. If it makes the buyer feel any 
better, I have never needed to crotch them. All offers will be entertained 
(please no low-balling).

I also have a year old Canon Gl2 professional mini-dv camcorder that I am 
looking to get rid of. It is in mint condition, comes with all accessories 
(except the large eyecup, which was unfortunately lost), and plenty of 
extras (a BP-930 and BP-945 battery, and several nice Tiffen filters). I 
know this is more of an audiophile list, but this is a great camera for 
filming shows, so I figured I would put it out there in case anyone is 
interested. If one needs any assurance that I am straight, my Ebay ID is 
ba82kc67 and I can send photos of both items if needed. Thanks for any 
interest.

When I asked for a patch last night in Toronto, their sound guy asked what
for.  I replied "for personal use" and he said "he'd prefer not".  I got the
feeling it was flexible but time was running out and I figured I was sitting
in a decent place for mics anyways so I said thanks and split.  I bet you
get a patch if you think of something better than the stupid "for personal
use" (which is probably what a bootlegger would say).

Once you do fix the plug, I recommend you continue to use the line 
input.  The CSB's produce a very *high* output, not low as you 
mentioned at one point in your message.

Members of ekoostik hookah Perform with John Mullins Band
ekoostik hookah's Dave Katz and Steve Sweney took the stage with former band
mate John Mullins and his group last night at Little Brothers in Columbus,
OH. Katz (keyboards) and Sweney (guitar) joined in for several Mullins
originals, such as "Washboard Annie," "Freedom Flying," "Stuck in the Snow"
and "The Ballad of Sam McCully." The show marked the first time since
Mullins' departure from ekoostik hookah in 1996 that Katz and Mullins have
shared the stage.............

One of my buddies has a Jukebox 3 and went through a lot of hassle 
(including replacing his unit and contacting the mfgr.) before he 
discovered that 1/8" stereo plugs are not completely standardized.  The 
inputs from some microphones, etc., will not make proper contact even 
when inserted correctly.  He solved the problem by getting an adaptor of 
some sort from Radio Shack with an input that fits.  Live and learn!

Re: the Jayhawks, I've been told that they don't bother recording their 
own shows, since fans do it for them and send them copies.  It's usually 
record companies that object to bands letting their fans tape.

the problem lies not particularly w/the core sound mics nor is it the 
fault of the switchcraft premium mini plugs Len uses (far from cheesy, btw).  Both right angle and straight switchcraft plugs do not work w/the JB3, indeed.
I noticed this when I was reviewing the eintire CS mic family.
If I were to lay blame on anything, it is most certainly the JB3's 
"cheesy" univesal mini plug.
The mics work perfectly w/all other minijack inputs.  If they didn't, 
his company would probably not have existed long.
To work around this, just get a radio shack adapter that is a stereo 
mini female on one end and a male on the other.  problem solved.  I 
found a short cable that was just a few inches long and it did the trick 
perfectly.

This SBD thang is fine an all, but since it started I have had a much more
difficult time finding anyone to trade audience DATs..... wasup?

My most recent gigs were ABB ATL>Charlotte>Raleigh - all smokin and
different shows from night to night. I have any one of them or many other
DATs to offer in trade.

Putting my motorcycle away (yep, I really am a biker), so I can go ride my
Segway in front of all the Hell's Angels........

If made using a portable walkman type recorder they most likely were not =
recorded
using Dolby, as any such consumer recorder I have seen my self only had a=
 Dolby
playback circuit. Still some might have it, but it would be a more =
expensive device.

You could try the Dolby button on the deck when auditioning the tape for =
maximum
sampling level to see what changes there are to the sound, but leave it =
off when you
sample if you are not sure, if you store the tapes in the future then =
take some
considerations towards making it possible to go back if your 'rescue =
equipment' or
recipe for restoring should change for the better. Like a permanent tape =
deck. At
least with a recording of the tapes without Dolby engaged you will have =
the option of
using Dolby later on in some form, i.e. through a soundcard out through a=
 seperate
Dolby decoder and then into another recorder, I.e. a DAT then back to =
computer to
make cds. Or keep them on DAT... If possible you could loan a tape deck =
again if the
tapes haven't deterioated even more.
Just a suggestion.

I picked up cheap tape decks in very servicable or fully working =
coindition for the
price of a bag of roasted salted peanuts each. Thats cheap.

Just audition the results of what you do, save when progress is good, so =
you can make
comparisons and go back to the previous work when it is not good.
