Hello,
Hoping someone out there has a manual for the D8 in .pdf format. I've seen
one somewhere but searches on google turn up nothing.
Thanks,
Mark

hello all,
I'm looking for a Springsteen recording from September 13, 1985 in Dallas,
Texas.
If you can help me out with a copy I'd like to set up a trade for this show.
Thanks.

Hello all,
I am putting together a "newbie" rig and I was hoping to get some
questions answered. First and foremost, I am highly interested in the
AKG c1000s and I found a good deal on a pair ($279). Here's the link
to the mic site:
http://www.akg.com/products/powerslave,mynodeid,186,id,222,pid,222
Does anyone know what kind of preamp would be best suited for this
particular kind of mic?
My deck is a D7, which I know doesn't have acceptable AD conversion
depth, so I was looking at an Edirol UA-5 (with Oade digi-mod for
$350) or an M-Audio Duo ($250). I noticed that both include a
probably okay preamp, but the UA-5, with an Oade mod, turns into a
better preamp for about $200 extra.
Does anyone know how good of a preamp this mod creates? Is it worth
the $200 just to not have to use a separate preamp? If not, what
would be a low-cost, acceptable preamp? I've seen an MP-2 for $665,
an MV100 for $550, and a Shure FP24 for $789. Would it be better just
to shell out the extra cash and go with one of these or would the
UA-5 do just fine? After all, Oade called the UA-5 "Our favorite low
cost solution for field recording."
UA-5 (Oade P-Mod): $550
MV100 + Duo: $800
Thanks very much,
Paul Hofferkamp
