I am looking for some others who may have taped or are taping some
Springsteen shows. I have some masters and clones to offer. I am looking
to trade for sources that weren't posted to the Springsteen binaries groups.
thanks

Date: Thu, 18 Sep 2003 01:24:30 EDT
hello everyone and hope all is well
Mahavishnu Project is now on tour. this is Gregg Bendian's group with him on
drums / Pete McCann on guitars / Steve Hunt on keys / Rob Thomas on violin /
Lyndsey Horner bass
they are taper-friendly but mics are preferred. JUST make sure to get them a
copy and buy some merchandise (they were doing $10 CDs at Ryles last night)
and plenty to pick from ----
Gregg Bendian has worked with Nels Cline/ Pat Metheny / Cecil Taylor and a
host of others. All the musicians are top-notch players with various
professional backgrounds. check out the Band Bio on their site
This band has a live CD out called "live bootleg" from their previous tours
and has been heartily endorsed by John Mclaughlin. Believe me, they are
smoking and cover some outrageous materials along the way!!

as the subject indicates, i;m looking for
info/tips/advice on how to recording from a soundboard
patch.
very soon i will be attending several shows of a
taper-friendly artist who allows soundboard patching
by audience members (as do the venues where the artist
is performing, i've already checked this out).
have a Sony D7 and a D8 that i can use. what other
equipment, cables, etc. will i need to pull off a
decent recording? any pre-amp?
any/all info (off list or on list) is greatly
appreciated.

Drop me a line. I've got a single that I don't want to go to waste for face
value of course. This tour is not taper friendly but with the lax security
at this venue it might as well be :)
