the walls..........
Any tapers that will be hitting any of these shows, PLEASE contact me

anybody know if it wouldn't be better to copy DVD-R to the E80's HDD
and then from HDD to another DVD-R (versus playing it on another DVD
player and using the composite video out/in)

Subject: D8 Battery Sled?
Date: Sat, 20 Sep 2003 04:23:16 -0500
I'm sure this has been covered before, but a quick
search of the archives didn't help much.
Does anybody know the Radio Shack part # that
will fit in a D8? It's a standard 4 AA cell sled. I
use SLAs for open taping, but am planning on doing
a "stealth job" next week, so an extrnal battery pack
is out of the question.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Nick

Hi all,
I have a Sound Devices MP-2 and a Graham Patten ADC-20 (44.1 khz) for sale. Both are in excellent condition and come with power cable (to 4 XLR). If you're interested, shoot me an e-mail with an offer. I'm not looking for a whole lot for these. Thanks in advance.

Subject: ISO: Dead 9/16/78 audience recording master
Date: Sat, 20 Sep 2003 14:50:31 EDT
I'd like to track down one of the high quality audience sourced masters of
the Grateful Dead's last night in Egypt on 9/16/78. I know the SBD recording is
everywhere, but prior to that circulating, there was at least one high quality
FOB audience recording in general circulation. Anyone happen to have it
handy and wouldn't mind buzzing off a copy? Much to trade. Regards, Stu

Subject: 1st part of Enrico's "ISO from A to Z": Aerosmith 12/6/80
Date: Sun, 21 Sep 2003 02:15:53 +0200 CET
Dear DAT Heads,
starting from now, and at highly irregular (due to family and work obligations)
intervals, I will post in this forum a list of concerts/artists I am looking
for, all of them strictly on DAT format and only from SBD or FM source.
The first concert of my wish list is, as subject says, Aerosmith 12/6/80 (I
think it was at the Hartford Civic Center, but can't swear it), that I was
supposed to receive many years ago in trade but that, for weird reasons, never
came in.
My list can be found at www.pemo.com/Enrico_DAT.htm
Bye,
Enrico

I've generally found you cannot get royalties, but a flat fee is
expected. It's also legally required, as you, not the artist, are the
owner of the copyright on any tape you make.
But don't expect to finance any new gear with your proceeds. The
fees are very low, typically, $100 for a specialty band that's not
going to sell more than 1000 copies. Maybe $200 if they release
your entire tape. If you think they're going to sell a lot more
copies, of course, you can try to negotiate a higher fee. Good luck!
