Thanks to Shane for the John Tsalikes obit. Not to be rude, but I was alway=
s=20
under the impression (esp. from the lists I have of his from 1990) that he=20
taped the "major" rock shows in Tampa in the 70s (PFloyd, Stones, etc) - his=
=20
list indicated that he had the master reels. I know this is so rude and=20
thoughtless to ask, but can someone please email and explain if it was him o=
r someone=20
else who did those Tampa masters?
I just hope someone isn't going to tell me that it wasn't Tannehill but=20
someone else who did the Ft Worth 70s shows (PF, Harrison, McCartney, Dylan,=
et al)=20
with the TC-152.
sorry again/
Mike

Wow...I have traded with John off an on for close to twenty years. I think he found me from an old trading ad I had in the back of Golden Road or Relix magazines back in the mid-80s and remember he had an amazing collection of Rolling Stones recordings. I hadn't been in contact with him for several years until I saw his name and e-mail on DAT Heads a couple years ago and we did some more trades, as well as John attending and recording a Los Lobos show for me last year down in Florida. I'm not sure why he passed away at such an early age but this is a sad loss of one of the "old schoolers" in my book. RIP John - I still have many of the recordings you sent me over the years and will always think of you when I play them.

These are touring USA soon.
I'm looking for tapers of these shows. Theses bands are really taper
friendly and allow both audience & SBD recording.
For SBD patch, you can ask to Matthew, Nada Surf singer.
I have plenty to trade.
thanks

Hello,
I found an SBM for pretty cheap, with a cracked up 7 pin connector though.
Does anyone know how to add a coax connector? If anyone's got info on how,
or could walk me through, I'd REALLY appreciate it.
Thanks!

John was absolutely one of my favorite quality
taping/trading friends in the country and am so
saddened to hear about his passing.
Life is *so* short..... John was the same age as I and
this brought to mind again of the spiritual priorities
I need to strive for..
We'll miss you, brother.

Transplanted New Yorker, Annie Quick, is releasing a new album this
month and is playing a few dates in the Big Apple. She's taper-friendly,
and I'd love to hear some new live material. Have plenty to trade.
Friday, October 24, Knitting Factory, afternoon show
Friday, October 24, Meow Mix, evening show
Saturday, October 25, Sin-E, afternoon show
Saturday, October 25, Orchard bar, evening show
http://www.anniequick.com/ Check her site for more detailed info and sound
samples from her unreleased album.
There will also be other bands playing, including The Detholz! This Chicago
band's quirky stage antics and tight performance will certainly get your
attention. Check 'em out, http://www.detholz.com/

Tom and I are selling the V2 to pay for our new mics.
I am the second owner of the unit, the first being a
buddy of mine who also took excellent care of it.
This unit has produced many great tapes and I'm not
pleased to part with it. Asking $650 buyer pays
shipping.
thanks wild bill! thanks to the rest of you too
