Here's the details: (2) Neumann TLM 170r Microphones - bought new 03/2001 transported and kept in a pelican case when not in use. will include original Mahogany cases, boxes, and Neumann windscreens. will throw in the pelican if desired, has some stickers and a doodle from Billy Martin (MMW) on it. Asking $2,700 or best offer Lunatec V2 Mic Pre amp. Bought new 09/2000. 6v Model. new faceplate and tune up from grace in spring 01. $575 obo. I also have a 15' pair of Audio Magic x-stream cables that I'll throw in with either piece if you want them ~Chris __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Cause of death was not released. He was 41. Tsalikes moved from Illinois to Tampa, Fla., in 1971. There he cared for his sick parents, rescued an abused..." SO... they're yours, if you want them. the catch? i'm not listing the contents. it'd take me a good 90 minutes or more to properly note what's in the batch, and i don't have that kind of free time. So let's just call it a Mystery Grab Bag! it's a pretty interesting mix of jazz, rock, alt-rock, and the like. no jambands! it's all good stuff! all i want is someone to send me a new spindle of TDK Taiyo Yuden 80 minute disks + return postage and the Mystery Grab Bag is yours! i'm also interested in sealing this deal ASAP, so we've got to get this underway within 24 hours. all you've really got to do is order a spindle from bestbuy, staples, wherever, ship it to me, then paypal me money to ship the Grab Bag back to you, so there's no reason why someone interested in this can't make it happen quickly. ready, set, go, the first recipient who promises to get his end of the deal underway quickly wins! cheers, peter ===== ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ web: http://home.nyc.rr.com/pedroworld AIM: sleepypedro A Bear Ate My Parents! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? (LazyLightnin1@aol.com) I'm very shocked and surprised to hear of John's passing. I spoke with him a few weeks ago and asked him if id be seeing him at Live Oak for Ratdog this fall, as I always did when I went to Florida, and he told me he'd been having health problems and could not travel to the show. He said he fully expected to recover, so this is quite a shock. I gave him a backstage pass one year when I was down there and took him back with me. He got to meet Bobby and I took their picture together. I'll always remember how happy he was that night. My condolences to his family. John was a heavy smoker (cigarettes). About a year later, I heard through a mutual friend that John had been diagnosed with throat cancer. While the news certainly saddened me, it did not come as a great surprise. I met him again on 11/21/2002 at the Springsteen show in Orlando. Only days before, John had had surgery for his throat cancer. I was surprised that he was out of bed, let alone at a concert, and attempting to record it! His throat was still bandaged and he told me that his voice (or more accurately "a voice," because it certainly didn't sound like him) had only returned the previous day. Most shocking of all was that he was still smoking! I urged him to make a concerted effort to quit, but clearly this was an addiction that he couldn't lick. We met up again at the subsequent Springsteen shows in Miami (11/23) and Tampa (11/24). Since that time, we stayed in touch and traded a few tapes. He was an easy-going guy and a pleasure to deal with. John definitely did NOT know he was going to die. He was still making tapes/discs and setting up trades within a week of his death. He passed on 10/10, yet here's the email I received from him on 10/2: "Hey! hadn't heard from ya fer awhile. I have these shows [ready] to go out to you....still. Also picked up some real nice shcoeps and mbho recordings from philly, gs, denver and milaukee. lemme know if you want any of them" I, also, am not sure of John's exact age. To look at him, I would guess mid' 40s. Maybe he did make some of those master recordings himself in the early 70s... I had a tape recorder when I was 5 years old, although I didn't have the wherewithal to start recording concerts until I was 19...perhaps John did. He was a nice guy and I'll miss him. Paul K.
