Subject says it... I'm looking for recordings of the Lo Faber Band (ex God
Street Wine), specifically summer/fall 2001, to help fill in the gaps in
the band's own archive. Plenty to trade. Thanks!

I'm selling my 13' Bogen/Manfrotto 3078. It comes with
the adapter nut(I think this little part costs at
least $10) so that you can mount a standard mic mount
on it. It is in great shape. I used it maybe a dozen
times at concerts. Price is $70 plus shipping. Please
contact me at eric-at-mrcla-dot-com.
By the way, don't let the yahoo e-mail address scare
you away. I've been off and on the list for years. You
can search the archives for my old (now defunct)
ejangel@ucdavis.edu address.
Thanks,
Eric

Trouble is playing 3 shows in the Chicago area in November....
7 - Oasis 160 on E Joe Orr Rd (southside)
14 - Penny Road Pub S Barrington Hills
15 - Bottom Lounge Chicago
....is anyone taping these? Trouble is a most excellent old-school metal
band that tours very little these days....despite almost 20 years of
critical acclaim, this band has managed to remain obscure, underappreciated,
and undertaped....there are very few live recordings circulating. Any fan
of old-school metal will find this band absolutely essential. If anyone is
lucky enough to be able to attend (and tape, of course.....stealth will be
necessary) one or more of these shows, please let me know.....
Thanks for the posting,
john e. bogus

i know this aired on KQED in San Francisco (PBS affiliate)
but not on my local PBS :-( anyone happen to tape it? i'd
love a VHS hi-fi copy if anyone wants to trade...
This program celebrates the last concert at this rock and roll
palace and captures the energy and spirit of the 60s and 70s.
Twenty five years ago, New Years Eve, 1978, the Grateful Dead
played to a standing room only crowd of 5400 fans. Dubbed
Winterland's house band, the Grateful Dead performed from
midnight until 6am, including three encores. The band plays
some of their favorite tunes including Sugar Magnolia, Fire on
the Mountain, Ramble on Rose, Good Lovin' and encore
performances of Casey Jones and Johnny B. Goode. Interspersed
throughout the concert, drummer Mickey Hart and rhythm guitarist
and vocalist Bob Weir talk about the band's favorite Winterland
moments. This concert was originally broadcast live by San
Francisco's Public TV station KQED, and is the only recorded
concert video of the Grateful Dead produced in the 70s. All 24
audio tracks are being remixed for optimum sound enhancement.
The Grateful Dead is made up of: Jerry Garcia: Guitar and Vocals;
Donna Jean Godchaux: Vocals; Keith Godchaux: Keyboards,
Vocals; Mickey Hart: Drums; Bill Kreutzmann: Drums; Phil Lesh:
Electric Bass, Vocals; Bob Weir: Rhythm Guitar, Vocals.

Subject: Jeff Austin, Nick Forester, Matt Flinner December 5th at Cervantes!!!
Date: Mon, 27 Oct 2003 16:00:21 -0800 (PST)
Hey Hey-
After months of waiting, I am very very pleased to
announce that Jeff Austin on mandolin (Yonder Mountain
String Band), Nick Forester on bass(Hot Rize), and
Matt Flinner on banjo (Matt Flinner Quartet) have
confirmed for Friday, December 5th at Cervantes
Masterpiece Ballroom (26th and Welton here in Denver).
The event will be a fundraiser for the Denver Green
Party!
Tenatively, I think there will be two sets. A set
with Jeff Austin and Nick Forester as a duo, then a
full set with Jeff Austin, Nick Forester, Matt Flinner
and another two people on guitar and fiddle. The
final two folks are not confirmed yet and I can't post
that part of the lineup.
The tickets for this event will be on sale the first
week of October and available through
sciticketing.com. We think tickets will be $12.
As more information is available, I will post it. If
you're a Green please c'mon down for some great music.
If you're a bluegrass fan please c'mon down for some
great music.
Please forward this email to interested individuals
and relevant newsgroups.
That's the news - the Denver Greens are very excited
about this event and look forward to seeing some of
you and hearing some great bluegrass!
-Josh
