Looking for Kyuss material. I've been listening to them for a while, but
never decided to start looking for live stuff until now. Please contact me
off list if you have some. Also, looking to do FTP trades if at all
possible.

The coincidences are so strange and happen so often on this list! How
often has someone posted an ISO looking for tickets to some show, then
later in the same digest someone is offering to sell the same tickets
requested earlier? :-) It happens with gear, tapes, tickets and other
random stuff.
So strange.....but kinda cool. Am I the only one that notices this?

Hi all,
Here's a list of FM DAT Masters I recorded for others and have no wish
to listen to. Some of these tapes may have other stuff on them too. My
deck is in the shop so I have no way of checking right now. Most are
32kHz, from WXRT in Chicago. Anyone interested?
1)Smashing Pumpkins 8/14/93 Chicago Metro(rebroadcast)
Santana 1990 Tinley Park, IL World Music Theater(rebroadcast)
Bowie 1990 Tokyo (rebroadcast)
2)New Radicals, Better than Ezra, Chris Isaak 12/31/98 Chicago HOB
complete live recording 32kHz, one tape
3)Smashing Pumpkins -Reading 1993 (rebroadcast) 70min, w/20min. of Foo
Fighters Reading 1993-BBC
4)The Cure 10/31/97 NYC Irving Plaza recorded live
5)The Cure- Hollywood 2000 (rebroadcast, maybe not?!?)
6)Pink Floyd BBC 197?, early 70s, maybe 1971 (rebroadcast)
Los Lobos 11/96 Chicago Metro (rebroadcast)
Tanya Donnelly 10/97 Chicago Double Door (rebroadcast)
7)Wilco 1996 Chicago the Vic, badly labeled. Possibly other stuff on
tape
8)Steve Earle 3/96 Chicago, IL Metro (rebroadcast)
the Borrowers 12/96 Chicago, IL Fitzgeralds (rebroadcast)
9)Radiohead 10/00 Manchester, UK (rebroadcast)-all times written out
for editing commercials
10) Tragically Hip 6/13/00 Chicago Park West ?? possibly recorded live
Looking to see is anyone wants to trade live cds for these? No DAT
trades. Will consider a box of tapes for the whole lot. Otherwise I'm
looking for live show of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Burning Spear, Devo,
Japanese punk noise, Ramones(pre-1982), Stevie Wonder(1970s), pre-1972
Miles Davis, old hardcore punk, Cramps(1977-85), Jucifer, High on Fire,
PW Long, Shellac, CT-9, Melvins, Patsy Cline(good luck), Jesus Lizard,
Big Black, Government Issue, Naked Raygun, Beefeater, Fugazi, Helmet,
Unsane, blah, blah...
No jam bands or G.Dead. I know most of this is a stretch. If
interested send a list. I have better luck if the list is copy/pasted
into the actual message.
thanks,
Geoff

after years of being ultra-careful with my sony 7pin-I/O optic cable, my 10 month old has done it in, actually just destroyed the 7 pin end (can this be repaired???)
anyone have ideas on a good replacement i should look into, or if have one to unload let me know, i was using it for taping and transfer, but open to dividing these up over two separate cables, my card has rca and optic ins (dio 2448), and the dat is a D8 which feeds off a denecke ad20 (has coaxial and optic S/PDIF, mini-xlr outs)
i mostly want to get something that does not have the exposed 7pins, i have one of those, > mini-xlr, and without the pin casing the thing is very difficult to work with
thank

Hey all...
i'm looking to see if anyone has a good AUD source for this Albany
show. i used to have a bomber cassette that was probably schoeps
sourced. I know it (or something like it) must be floating around
LMK if you've got something.
I've got lots to trade and will send my list upon request.

On Wednesday evening at midnight, WBOS will broadcast R.E.M. live in concert
from Los Angeles! If midnight is too late for you on a school night, WBOS
will rebroadcast the concert on Thursday at 8pm. The concert is in
celebration of R.E.M.'s new CD In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003.
I've also heard that os Angeles radio station Star 98.7 will be broadcasting
this also. Hopefully someone can properly tape this.
