I'll probably go see Damien Rice on the weekend. I've heard that his management is anti-taping even though he himself is actually cool with. Can anyone clear this up? Thanks in advance! I have a Hewlett Packard SCSI one, use Windows 98 and think it could be fine to use this if possible in any way. Any hints available or just a dream.... The only drives that are audio capable are ones that were originally installed on Silicon Graphics (SGI) workstations, or identical models made for other vendors flashed with the SGI firmware. These include a few models of Archive/Conner/Seagate or the Sony SDT-9000. More info is available at: http://www.btinternet.com/~big.bubbles/personal/ade/dat-dds/index.html -- Wayne D. One pair of factory matched Earthworks SR77 microphones in excellent condition. Comes in the plexiglass earthworks tubes. Also has the original Earthworks windscreens also in a plastic tube, and the original Earthworks clips also in a plastic tube. I have all factory documentation, and bought them new myself. Asking $750. They have a lifetime warranty that talking with Earthworks would be honored regardless of who owns them. If ever there was any problem with this, however, I'd be more than happy to help out with warranty service as they were originally registered to me. One Sound Devices MP2 preamp in good condition. Bought this new for $665. Asking $350. I have all documentation on this as well including the box. I will include a SLA 6v battery and charger that I built to power it. Powering the Earthworks, I'd gotten up to 16hours one time. Two AT8410A shock mounts. Paid $110, asking $50 Shure A27M Vertical T-Bar asking $50 Sony PCM-M1 - This was Mark Nutter's bench DAT. I bought it from him used. In speaking with him when I bought it, it had a small defect in the LCD, a sort of black dot. He used in infrequently for test for a year or two before selling it to me. The black dot was there according to him through it's entire life, and it has never gotten any worse in the year and a half I've had it. The DAT is a little scuffed up from being on his bench, but has performed flawlessly for me. I have the box, and the DAT, and I believe the manual, but none of the other accessories that come with it. Asking $375. Bogen 3076 17' stand Asking $75 Tamrac 5612 Pro12 old style camera bag asking $50. If I still have it, and you buy the mics and the preamp, the bag is yours free. Please email me with any questions or interest as I'd love to move this stuff out quickly. Hoxsie Jr." Subject: Linux and USB Sound: questions Reply-To: wayne@hoxnet.com Date: Thu, 30 Oct 2003 11:10:24 -0600 I'm looking to play around with some different options for live recording including laptop, PDA, USB, etc. I'm an avid linux user (Slackware 9.1 currently) and would prefer a device that is compatible but since my employer requires me to work with widows, I do have a Win2000 partition on my laptop so that is an option too. I was browsing around and found the M-Audio Transit: http://www.m-audio.com/products/m-audio/transit/ that looks pretty cool. 24/96 over USB? Is that possible? It claims to be linux USB sound compatible so it meets my initial criteria. Does anybody have anything to say about this device, or does anyone have any other recommendations? Thanks. I'm in search of any information about the various Ranch Rock sets at Pyramid Lake on 9/7/86. Any band personel info, other than John Cipollina, who I know played a bit with everyone that day, would be greatly appreciated, as well as what order the bands played in. I've done extensive Google searching on the show but all I came up with was the Zero and Kingfish setlists. I found the shows listed on countless tapelists as well as etree, but unfortunately no information, other than the date. Can anyone help with the setlists for the other bands, ie, Mickey Hart & The Daylights, Robert Hunter's Mystery Band & Problem Child. I'm also looking for a good quality online image of the poster for this show if anyone can point me to one. I can find it as a thumbnail size image, but nothing in better resolution. Basically, any information, setlists, online photos or recollections, would all be welcome.
