Date: Wed, 19 Nov 2003 14:02:16 EST Obviously you all know that Best Buy has had Fuji 50 pack CD-R's on sale this week for $12.99 with an $8.00 mail-in rebate. And, the 50 packs are still made in Japan! The problem is that most Best Buy's have been out of stock of these items all week so far. At least that's the way it is on Long Island! I've been told by my local store that they might get them any day, but so far they just aren't on any trucks coming in to the stores. The sale and rebate expire this Saturday, so there's a chance they will never have them in time for anyone to qualify for the rebate. After making a trip to my local Best Buy every day this week, they finally looked up stock in other stores and told me that the Huntington Station (also on Long Island) store had a large quantity in stock. I did manage to go there and pick up five 50 packs, but that only left them with maybe six or eight remaining. Since there's only one rebate per household, I'll have to have a bunch of friends help out to get all five rebates. Then it's been at least a four month wait for the Fuji rebates. They have always been slow with their rebates. Who knows if these are the last Fuji 50 packs that were made in Japan? I checked all the other Fuji CD-R packs (10 packs, 30 packs, and of course the new 100 packs), and all are now made in Taiwan. This very well could be the end of it from Fuji. Now there does happen to be another Fuji 50 pack sale this week at OfficeMax. They are selling the 50 pack for $9.99 without a rebate. I didn't check my local stores for stock, but this just might be the way to go if you want to stock up on these Japanese made Fujis. ------------------------------ From: Subject: Re: Trade Robin Trower DATs or CDRs + Need replacement....
