Desparate times call for desparate measures. Being currently unemployed
forces me to have to put this deck up for sale. VERY low hours. It was just
completely serviced by Midwest Digital & given a completely clean bill of
health. Used very little since. It has the rack mount ears on it. I am
looking for $595 which includes UPS ground shipping & insurance. It's a
sweet deck, and I hate to part with it..... but I'm hurting for $$. I can
also be reached at jameshelgerson@sbcglobal.net .

Looking for some good quality Flogging Molly, Shane MacGowan or Pogues
shows. I would like to do B&Ps but could do a trade even though my list is
severly out of date. I would prefer them on CDR but would do DAT if that is
the only option. Let me know. thanks, joe.com

So my sharp md-mt15 finally has crapped out on me after about 3 years..and about 50 shows. my problem now is that when I go to replacec it with a new one, I can not find a recorder with a mic in hole in my area. None of the new sony recorders have a mic in? what is this? I can't find any sharp recorders? I never see any new dats ( people tell me they no longer make them...) What's a girl to do?
Options? ( no matter what I need a new mini to convert all these shows from my summer..I'd like a dat in the future..price allowing..and I'd like one new if that's ever an option..otherwise I'll take what I have to..)
I'd buy a nomad3 if someone would just promise me that it would record a show 2-3 hours length and go right to wav no problem, beautiful thing, but all I hear is the problems about the thing..
Help :(
Angel.

FS: Sonic Studios DSM-6S/L mics and PA-6LC3B Lo Cut adaptor. Excellent
condition. Second owner and never used. New these cost $650.00 for the
combo. I'll sell them for $310--shipping included. if international,

hi,
i taped( with much trouble) the " tell us the truth tour" at webster
hall saturday nite. long story short, i didnt have enough tape. the last
time i was there, they did a complete police style pat down and i was
busted. this time i taped my M1 to a complicated leg brace i wear to play
hockey and was going to tell the guy its an electronic stimulator, blah
blah. anyway, there was NO pat down , i cruised right in. problem is i only
brought a 2 hr tape. i was so hung up on making the fake stimulator, i
fucked up when i grabbed a tape. i didnt know it was short till i glanced
at the dat and it was stopped. i prayed, then rewound to a spot i thought
sucked, and continued taping. i also had to make a battery swap. the bottom
line is is a great sounding , but choppy account of the nite.
the idea of the tour was to gather musicians to protest media consolidation,
its affect on the music , and news and information , we hear. the line up
was billy bragg, lester chambers, steve earle, tom morrelo ( from rage
aganst the machine), jill sobule . it was MC'd by jeanne garafalo( she
sucked ). there was also a rapper i didnt now, billy somebody. he wasnt half
bad.
now ,for fans of the various artists, on to the tape. the billy bragg set
is seriously cut, the tape ran out during his set. he only did 5 songs. lost
two; english civil war, and help save the youth of america. i got a partial
of another, and then the rest of the set. if i didnt see billy bragg 5
million times, i'd be pissed . i did get his chat about the media, pretty
good stuff.
the chambers set is missing one song, one is partial. not a big loss to me.
the tom morrelo set is complete, and powerful. i liked him and have to check
out more.
the jill sobule set is complete. she was a bit out of place there( as was
chambers) but won over the crown nicely.
the steve earle set is nearly complete.
the rap guy is completely cut, he's the guy i tried to rewind over.
jeanne garafalo is cut, just because she blew. i couldnt listen to her
shrill, unfunny bullshit again.
if anyone wants it, let me know. if there is a better tape out there, i'd
like to hear it. if not, then this is a lot better than nothing. the sound
is very nice.
have fun,
Mike Hooker

Hey Colin,
I just sent mine out to NXTGen so if you want to wait for whatever
answer they can give me I'll keep you updated. Sent mine UPS from the
Atlantic Beach plaza office of UPS for about 20.00+ if I recall. You
need to go to the web site and request a work order form which they can
email to you. Include this in with your D-5. Or contact me at my new
email addy and I can send my copy of the work order to you.
Note my new email addy, Colin.
Lets get together and exchange those disks...

You might want to move quickly. CompUSA has the 50 packs on sale this week
and they are made in Taiwan. Fortunately, I bought 300 T-Y Fujis at Best Buy
last week when they were on sale. I hope I don't turn into Elaine and the
sponges.

For what it's worth, here in Des Moines the 50- and 30-pack made-in-Japan
Fujis are still pretty plentiful. The local Best Buys had 'em this week for
the special, Office Max or Office Depot has 'em (I can never remember which
store is which), even KMart has 'em.
I've laid in a supply of 200 of the Japanese Fujis. At the rate I burn, this
is more than a year's supply. Thank goodness the discs say "Made in Japan"
right on them so people won't think I'm pushing Tiawanese crap when I'm
still trading with them in 2004. ;-)

hey
if you're a big jerry cantrell fan/trader/
collector, plz get in touch- i have something for
you...there was this private party/ceremony thing i
got invited to tonight by a friend, that jerry played
3 songs at (and i taped). this was the only portion
recorded (unless there was another taper hidden
somewhere, but i didn't see any...wasn't that type of
thing...) but anyways, i'd rather not discuss
circumstances much more on the list (sorta feel like
an ass talking about it?)...but jerry did 3-songs
acoustic w/ full band, a very AIC "unplugged" sound
and vocal accompaniment... he did "dying ain't no way
to live" (a new song, or so it seemed from they way he
introduced it), "brother", and "got me wrong"... i
figured some people out there would want to hear this
stuff...
i'm behind in trades (and life) but...anyone want to
trade me some choice nirvana, or some (all?) of those
autolux shows opening for the white stripes last week?
that'd be a cool side note, otherwise, i'll do a few
bnps and hopefully those people will do the same if
there's a big demand for the show...
i figure people should enjoy the music, and good
things should (and can) come from bad.
fuck it... funerals should go bob marley style,
not like most of these strange things in america and
assosciated culltures...
take care, good night...
rob
