Sorry for the OT here Heads....But looking over Rolling Stones Top 500
albums of all time, I was curious as to what I was missing with all the
whoopla about with Miles Davis. I decided to pick up a couple of his cd's,
and realized what a bonehead I have been. I purchased "Kind Of Blue" and
"Bitches Brew" - and that just BLEW ME AWAY....So I also purchased "Jack
Johnson" and the complete sessions box set "In A Silent Way" - and those
blew me away as well. So I seem to be drawn to his fusion/rock period of
the early 70s.
To cut to the chase - does anyone have recordings from this 1969-1975 era ??
If there is a particular recording of "Bitches Brew", that would be the
bomb ! I'm sorry I have no other Miles to trade, but I certainly can use
any info to what other recordings (commercially as well) would be considered
superior in his fusion/rock period.
Yes - feeling stupid after many years of ignoring him, so if anyone has
advise on a newcomer here, it would not go unnoticed. Thanks
Heads.....Happy Holidays.
Tom

I've been using Yamaha brand components for over ten years and am very
happy with the overall quality value and durability. $500 buys a lot.
You can get a great Yamaha for a lot less. Put the savings into
speakers or your pocket.
http://www.audioreview.com/reviews/ is a great place to find ratings
for electronics from actual users. I go there all the time when doing
research before buying.

Due a huge collection, I have created a easy and cheap solution to storage
cd's into a box (each one holds 400 cd's without j-cases)
in a few space, for a total cost of 90 dollars for each one
If one guy have a web site, I can send him the pics, so it can be an online
reference for those interested

Is this a portable minidisc recorder? There are not any portable MD
recorders that have optical out. They do have in (for recording onto MD
from CD or DAT, but not out). Not many MD decks actually have an
optical output either. I bought an MD deck specifically for this, and
it was quite a find. So you might be connecting the DAT input to the MD
input, which is why you're not getting anything out of it...

Don't split the tracks. Type in a "cue sheet" and use CDRWIN or
NERO to write out the discs.
