so I live in asheville and taped it from WNCW......the
reception is not the best at times as anyone around
here can tell you. well it was snowing like hell that
night so it was not as good at my house as normal.
not bad but there were a few rough moments. a few
drop outs that were from the radio, not my deck.
considering it does not sound that bad (and it was a
sick night, JB doing time is free..) so if no one got
a better copy I would love to send my dats to someone
that can clean them up a bit (static, drop outs) and
seed them. email me if interested. if someone did
get a better copy where is it???

I posted awhile back looking for anyone who has taped any of the following
bands:
Jane's Addiction
Jellyfish
The Sundays
A few of you contacted me concerning Jane's Addiction and Jellyfish. Please
contact me again as I've been out of the loop over the past few weeks.

I have traded for a few recent Ryan Adams shows
(Manchester, Boston, Ann Arbor, Chicago, and
Minneapolis) and am looking to trade straight up for
others from the recent tour. Write me off-list if you
have other
shows and are looking to trade.
Thanks.

Anyone know if Liz will be allowing taping on her upcoming tour, or if she
has allowed it in the past at all?
Rob

Sony Develops Longer Recording Mini Discs
Jan 7, 1:49 PM (ET)
TOKYO (AP) - Sony Corp. (SNE) has developed a technology that boosts the audio recording capacity of its mini-discs from the current 80 minutes to a whopping 40 hours, Japan's leading business daily, Nihon Keizai Shimbun, reported Wednesday.
Sony spokeswoman Junko Sato said Sony planned an announcement about mini-disc technology and products Thursday but said parts of the newspaper report were inaccurate. She did not elaborate.
The report said Sony plans to start selling the mini-discs and recorders this year and will approach other makers to adopt the technology, including rival Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., producer of the Panasonic brand.
The new disc is the same size as current discs, which record 80 minutes of sound each, and the new machines will be able to play both new and old discs, the report said. The recorders will have copyright protection and will be able to record video, the paper said without elaborating.
Sony's offering may be a bid to better compete against digital audio products already on the market such as Apple Computer Inc.'s iPod, which holds up to 10,000 songs on a hard drive.
The news comes as Sony has been struggling to lift its image and sales after it fell behind rivals in hit consumer electronics products such as flat-panel TVs and DVD recorders.
Sony estimates that global sales of mini-disc players and recorders from all manufacturers have totaled about 80 million since the devices went on sale in 1992. Sony expects to sell more than 7 million mini-disc Walkmans worldwide in the fiscal year ending in March.

Hi all,
think I never saw any posting about anyone having taped this amazing
artist...granted, her third album wasn't anything like the first two gems but she
definitely is worth the effort..
Only taped her once on her last Munich appearance and was really blown away
by the woman and that unbelievable voice of what I consider a talent like
hardly a second...Tape came out beautiful back then , still one of the CDs I
listen to the most...
Any offers welcome....
Best,
Karsten

Hi,
Was wondering if anybody had experience using this for transferring dats
to harddrive. ESI Waveterminal U24 external usb soundcard
(http://www.esi-pro.com/viewProduct.php?pid=3D10)
It works fine for transferring dat/48 > .wav 44.1kHz and onto cd, but wan=
t
to back up some of my dats at 48kHz, but choosing 48 at the control panne=
l
only results in noise upon the music on my wav file. Anyone know what I'm=
doing wrong or what settings are wrong? Help would be appreciated. I use
Soundforge 6.0 for all my transfers. thanks for the help!
