Sorry for the confusion. Dave ------------------------------ From: thuff@ucsd.edu Subject: ISO: Ventura, CA area taper for Jan 31, Date: Mon, 19 Jan 2004 16:50:50 -0800 (PST) Hey dudes and gals, I'm hoping to find a fellow taper in the Ventura, CA area to tape a show that is going to happen on Jan 31, 2004 (a week from this saturday). If you are into the music of Jack Johnson, the surf movie's Shelter, or Thicker Than Water, you've probably (hopefully) heard of Todd Hannigan. His mellow guitar style and compositions with Fernie Apodaca are crazy good. They perform live very rarely, and they are going to be playing jan 31 at a surf movie premeir: Jan 31, 2004. 8pm Performing live: Jonathan Riffetto Band, Todd Hannigan & Crosby Loggins @ The showing of the surf film: "Through the Looking Glass" (an east coast surf film) @ The Ventura Theater 26 s. Chestnut St. Ventura CA 93101 http://www.venturatheater.net/ For more info on Todd and Fernie, see this site: http://www.dwama.com/music/dreamteam.htm -- Please e-mail me if you can go and tape. It is only a few dollars, and i'd be happy to send you any of my shows: http://db.etree.org/tyler_in_SD as well as taping any show for you here in san diego. let's get in touch and get this rare show taped! Microphones?? Reply-To: Jan Freise Date: Tue, 20 Jan 2004 11:39:33 +0200 Hi Folks, i am new here. ;-) I am currently looking into what equipment to buy. Especially i would need some advise on what microphone to buy ( i want to record rock /pop concerts in general). As recording gear i think DAT is the best choice (Sony DTC-D100) or does anyone thing MD would be the better choice? Or are there better units than the rather old Sony? As for microphones: I stumbled over the Sonic Studios DSM-6L (http://www.sonicstudios.com/dsm.htm) and the SoundProfessionals Mic SP-BMC-10 (http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/category.cgi?category=9185&item=SP-BMC-10&type=store). Good advice is very welcome - which is the best (and affordable) mic on the market? Thanks for any help :) Jan ------------------------------ ** FOR YOUR REFERENCE ** To unsubscribe from this digest, please send email to dat-heads-unsubscribe@datheads.phish.net If your email address has changed, you may (optionally) send the message to dat-heads-unsubscribe-oldaddress=olddomain@datheads.phish.net and the old address will be removed.
