Does anyone know if Taj Mahal allows taping of any kind?
I written his manager once a month for the last 6 months and never gotten
a response. I've seen some recent tapes floating around, but never gotten
a straight answer.
please let me know, I got front row tix!

FS: Oade m118 preamp (mod) - Originally built for Ray Potter, and
includes a 10 db (added) gain switch on the side of the unit. Purchased
approx 1.5 years ago from original owner, and sent to Doug for
replacement battery and op amp upgrades. In addition, includes a new(er)
charger. The unit has worked flawlessly since purchase. Finally, there's
quite a bit of writing over the chassis to include signatures by: Warren
Haynes, Dave Schools, David Grisman, Bela Fleck, Vic Wooten, Bobby Vega,
Rob Wasserman and others that we've acquired over the past year. $650

hmmn.
i was under the impression that the really desirable shows come from the
future.
They're awfully hard to get a hold of, y'know.
And whenever I manage to set up a trade for one of those rare future shows,
it seems like it's become a past show by the time it arrives in my mailbox.

since selling my dat machine, i noticed that i had 8 extra tapes. i've
taped over the music with blank space. i figure trading them for 10 blank
CDs is fair. i've got (3) 60m, (2) 94min & (3) 64min dat tapes. if anyone
is interested, let me know.

If spmeone got Rig in there, you ae lucky. The Blue Cafe is a
hardplace to record. . The acoustics of the room suck, they had a crppy
sound systm. Te club was sold, and any old the place is falling apart.
I worked with the owner trying t get a sbd patch and pull sound off the
board, the board. is not really feading all the sound fed i into the
club. The house sound from the stage is mosdt f t sound. The drums,
and amps cary most of te sound in the room., nd even though everythig
had ben miked In the end, the sound is amazing. Mark did hell of job
a mixing the sound do you heard. One night Guitar Shorty was sure he
was being recorded. He went wild thinking he was bing recorded, when he
wasn't but he thought he was. I'v been going to shows there almost
since the place opened. Ive seen recoring only twice. Once during a
private party, someone recrded them, with pair and one blus act was
recorded by their staff off theboard. I 've been giong there a long
time, and I've seen 2 recordings being made, 3, if you count mobile van
to record The Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Square Garden to the stratosphere. "We didn't expect you'd shout that

record the 4th album. Over thirty years later, fans can finally enjoy
the best concert of the 1970 American tour and one of their best shows

He sent me a B&P a while back, shortly before I was laid off....therefore, I
no longer have his email, or what it is he wants me to burn for him...this
is why you always include a note with said information in a B&P ! shit does
indeed happen....
anyway, if someone could tap him on the shoulder and ask him to send me an
email....to this account (new one)
thanks,

Nickel Creek is currently revising their Taping/Trading policy.
With the help of another taper we secured permission for Sara and
Sean's solo shows to be hosted at archive.org under the name
Watkins Family Hour. I figure a few emails requesting that
archive.org be considered in their new policy would have a good
chance of swaying their opinion. Preach the benefits of
availibility and how it discourages piracy; plus spreads the word
about the band. Just an idea, and I figure it can't hurt.
Here's their manager's email address: john@qprime.com

Hi all,
just wondered if anyone is planing on going to one of the three West Coast
shows here:
========================
Jerry Cantrell and Joe Satriani, Among Others, To Peform 3 Gigs to Celebrate
the Jimi Hendrix Legacy
As reported by Reuters/Billboard:
Top Acts to Rock for Hendrix
NASHVILLE (Billboard) - Experience Hendrix, the holding company that
oversees the Jimi Hendrix estate, is launching a pilot tour of three concerts
celebrating the Hendrix legacy.
The dates are Feb. 22 at the Paramount Theater in Seattle; Feb. 24 at
Roseland Theater in Portland, Ore.; and Feb. 26 at the Warfield in San Francisco.
Participating artists will include Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Living
Color, Alice In Chains' Jerry Cantrell, Kid Rock, Hubert Sumlin (Howlin'
Wolf), Sheldon Reynolds (Earth, Wind & Fire), Indigenous and Joe Satriani. All
will be backed by former Hendrix bandmates Mitch Mitchell on drums and Billy Cox
on bass, with Bad Company's Paul Rodgers on vocals.
Experience Hendrix has corralled a host of top acts for "Power of Soul," a
Hendrix tribute album due May 4 from Image Entertainment. The set will feature
newly recorded covers by Sting, Prince, Eric Clapton and Musiq, among
others.

If so, please contact me....
