If you, or someone who trades you for it, puts it up on 'Sharing the Groove'
under the Audio Bit Torrent Downloads you won't have to worry about it being
bootlegged. What an amazing site!
http://www.sharingthegroove.org/
BTW, from what I've noticed, there's lots of Zep up there as well.

Subject: Azure Ray taping policy?/ Soundboard question
Date: Sun, 01 Feb 2004 12:01:32 -0500
I was thinking of hitting a few Azure Ray shows, does anyone know what their
taping policy is? I did come across a few soundboard shows but...who knows,
they could have changed their minds.
Also, forgive this remedial question, but what cables would I need for a
soundboard patch? (would need to exit into a 1/8, something I can get at
radioshack? :)

It's not my intention starts a flame , but a recent post of mr. Brian about
70's rarity where he said
===================
I'll consider a couple of trades for Led Zeppelin
> rarities in return (uncirculated alt tapes or upgrades
> to what is currently available
===============
sounds bit as a non sense to me.
It's like when I read in some Trading list where some recordings are listed
as "trade only for rare tapes"
Main or at least one of more important purpose of dat tapers/traders is to
spread music for our community or
I'm wrong?
Repeat, Brian, is not against you, just curious to listen other opinion

unfortunately, you CANNOT rely on the information returned from software
such as CDRIDENTIFIER to identify disc manufacturers
those programs read information on the disc referred to as the "ATIP"
you CANNOT trust the information in the ATIP to be accurate as far as who
makes the discs!!!!! not only has the manufacturer coding info that is read
by these identifiers been no longer freely released to the public for
several years (thus making them all out of date, which is why CDRIDENT no
longer even gets updated) but there are other issues as well, like the use
of one company's "stamper" being used to make another company's discs, thus
invalidating the manufacturer code that is read in the first place

I'd appreciate any connections/advice out there for
both of these artists.

Not sure what to make of the Hot Tuna taping policy. When they
played here in Olympia, the announcer guy came out and said,
among other things: "No flash photography, video, or audio taping".
But, there were mic stands up all over the audience and no hassles.
My guess is they played lip service to Columbia and then proceeded
with business as usual. Your mileage may vary.

Hello,
Modest Mouse is about to head out on tour promoting their upcoming cd.
Just looking for anyone who might be taping any of these shows or could
possibly be convinced. They're pretty taper friendly. They've allowed mic
stands and board feeds in the past. Email me if you can help out.
