Bullshit.
A recent My Morning Jacket show that a friend taped and offered for BT =
through STG has been all over ebay recently. I love BT and all of the =
new technoligies but once the tape leaves your hand there's no telling =
who will download it and what they will do with it.=20
As for how "amazing" STG is... well I think that's up for debate too ;-)

I think if you have something that not many have or
has not been circulated you should be able to get
something in return that is rare or something you are
looking for. and before you know it that "rare"
recording is out there and everyone has it anyway.

Jon, that is why I qualified the antecedent with "for the most part." To
state that you "CANNOT rely" on the ATIP to be accurate is fallacious. Do
you really mean to say the ATIP is never right?
Aside from going to the factories and buying your CD's right as they come
off the conveyor belt, I am unaware of a better way to determine the
manufacturer. Maybe we should just rely on rumors and speculation.

those programs read information on the disc referred to as the "ATIP"<<
What about the CDR identifier feature in Feurio? Does it use the same
process? It seems pretty reliable to me, but then again, I don't rely on
it, and ususally ignore it. Feurio really is a fantastic, FREE burning
program.

Hi Group,
I'm new here but quite old elsewhere so apologies if this is not the
place to ask some techie questions. :-)
Need a little help please. I just purchased a few DAT decks and one of
them is a Sony PCM7010 with a few little glitches. Perhaps the biggest
glitch is I didn't get a manual with it. Does anyone out there have one
that is emailable? If not, how about a paper copy? It would sure help me
understand what's going on with it.
Secondly, are there known problems with this great big beautiful beast,
i.e. logic problems, power supply etc? The deck plays, rewinds and some
of the basic functions work but it sometimes displays strange things, or
the display is just blank. Power down and up seems to help. It sometimes
flashes Video 25 for no apparent reason, things like that.
Has anyone worked on these and can you offer any help please? I am an
electronics tech and not afraid of getting donw n dirty in this baby, I
just don't want to start from scratch if there is someone who has been
here before.
Thanks all.
Paul

Hi,
Any undercover goth types here have any James Ray tapes ?
I'm mainly interested in 'Performance' material but will
probably take anything. There are some 1986 demo's of
James Ray working on Sisters Of Mercy material with
Eldritch and Alan Vega (This Corrosion + others) floating
around - if anybody has these I have an extensive collection
Sisters Of Mercy demo's and mixes which could possibly be of
interest.
thanks
Wayne

I've heard a few very nice recordings done with this
mic, and sony doesn't seem to make them anymore. if
anyone on here happens to have one lying around
because they upgraded or don't tape anymore, i'd love
to hear from you.
my best,
d
