Obviously you know nothing about me or my life.
I have never met you, and I have never traded with
you.
It is my "RIGHT" to trade with whoever I want,
whenever I want.
I owe you "NOTHING!"
I repeat I owe you "NOTHING!"
If you don't like it, fly out here and tape them
yourself.
How sad it is your behavior is dictated by one bass
player.
Do us all a favor (or me at least) and get a life.

Warning / guarantee: This posting is not about jambands, jazz, bluegrass,
equipment FS, or technical content....if this is all you read this list for,
please note the fact that a BWT has been included, realize that not everyone
has the same taste as yourself, and then kindly scroll down to the next
posting.....but if you enjoy good old fashioned kickass rock and roll and
don't mind getting turned on to something new, by all means read on......
If you're into old-school metal, there's several essential shows happening
this week. Hidden Hand is the latest and greatest band from Wino (ex-
Spirit Caravan, The Obsessed, St. Vitus), and gets my vote for best band,
best new band, and best album of 2003....everyone who has heard or seen this
band is raving about them, so the shows are more than worth the while for
Hidden Hand alone. To make it even better, these shows have 3 other
worthwhile old-school metal bands on the bill: Nebula, Clutch, and
Mastodon.....and ALL FOUR bands allow taping! I've got all of the
mid-atlantic area shows covered with both DAT and DV video....to my
knowledge, the 3 northernmost shows are not being covered by other tapers,
and so far I've been the ONLY taper who's been recording the band in DAT
format (so far, all other sources for tapes have been MD, video, or
cassette), so it would be most excellent to see someone else get these shows
on genuine 48khz DAT. Over 90% of The Hidden Hand's shows have been taped
so far, so if a few good people can help to keep these numbers up, that
would be great! Every show is different, and lots of unreleased tracks get
played. Here's the dates:
Feb. 11th (Wed): Latham (Albany), NY at Saratoga Winners
Feb 14th (Sat): Attleboro, MA at Jarrod`s Live Rock Venue
Feb 15th (Sun): Manchester NH at the Bombshelter
Hidden Hand is opening the shows, so be sure to get there early. If you'd
like to see what everyone is raving about, there's a free download of one of
the songs here, as well as a few reviews: http://www.meteorcity.com/030.htm
While I personally feel that this isn't necessarily their strongest or most
representative track, it should give you the idea. A google search will
reveal even more people raving about this band. The band's website can be
found here: www.thehiddenhand.com Enjoy!
BWT: One of the following to the LAST two people to respond before digest
#17 hits my inbox, last respondant gets the choice of DAT or video:
One DAT containing: Hidden Hand at the Velvet Lounge, Washington, DC
6/13/03 (55 minutes) & the Black Cat, Washington, DC 8/29/03 (65 minutes).
Both shows taped with Nak 300's > D7 (line in) from FOB just left of center
(6/13) and FOB center (8/29), DAT master > DAT
One VHS containing: Hidden Hand at the Ottobar, Baltimore, MD 1/16/04 (50
minutes) & the Khyber Pass, Philadelphia, PA 2/5/04 (60 minutes). Both
shows DV master (tripod shot) > VHS from FOB center (1/16) and FOB just
right of center (2/5) (Note: the 2/5 show was shot in low-light mode, so
it's pretty grainy looking, but the performance makes it more than
worthwhile and the sound quality is very good....both shows contain 1st
performances of unreleased tracks)
Anyone responding, please put HIDDEN HAND in the subject line in ALL
CAPS....this will help me pick your response out of the spam at the bottom
of my inbox, especially if you have a "common ending" to your email addy
like hotmail or yahoo, etc and are not yet on my whitelist.....my responses
to my responses might be kinda slow, as I'll be covering the rest of the
DC-MD-PA shows this week as well as attending a funeral out of
town.....thanks and enjoy the music.....
Thanks for the posting,
Yours Truly,
john e. bogus

Namste Y'all,
thanks to all who wrote back to me RE: Jorma and
Jack's current policy.
Yes, there's been the Columbia contact signing, but
that has not effected respectful audience taping:
Set up by the sbd, don't block anyone's view, the
usual courtesies we try to embody just the same!
No plash photography and absolutely no video.
Have a great time, they're smoking hot these daze...
thanks
and
take care

head over to bt.etree.org...and keep your windows open, keep your windows

This is the best matrix I've pulled so far, and a smokin', I do mean
incredible show. I don't know if we owe it to the 'request a song' on
keller's site or if he's just decided to play a bunch of older popular
favs really, really fucking good!
Enjoy!
did I forget to mention?

Been searching for recordings from Chicago's Kinetic Playground --

Anyone here record those shows, or know anyone who has?
Tons to trade.

Performing Arts
Friday, March 19, 2004 Paramus, NJ Bergen Community College

Touring in support of their recently released French album, about one

The sisters allow audience audio taping; no SB access, though. It may
be possible to arrange guest list status with early enough notification.
