can any body advise me what products to buy to clean manualy.
please don't give product components like alcool, give me products brands
that have you have been using and that don't damange the heads and the rest
of the machinery.

I've just wasted an hour of my life trying to find one online, and am giving
up. If you have a good slim single jewel case insert template, please send
me a copy! (That's for the really skinny single cases) I'd really, really

I hope this post goes through. AOL sucks, so it may or may not.
Here's what I hope to accomplish with this post:
1) I paid $200 for a capture card and software, with hopes of creating my own
DVD's on a PC. I have been using a standalone burner up until this point, and
it just won't cut it any longer. That being said, I purchased this new card
and software made by Pinnacle Studios, which is a Firewire/1394 digital capture
card, made for capturing video from a DV cam or other digital device. It also
has a desktop unit with S-Video and Composite in and out plugs that will
accept video from your VCR or analog Camcorder. Basically, you can feed any sort
of video into your computer and the software they give you will help you burn
your own DVD's. They have the right idea. I actually was able to do some cool
editing, but I can't figure out the rest, and I don't have time. Since this is
a software product, I am unable to return it to the store where I bought it,
which was about a month ago. I am hoping that someone on this list is shopping
for a capture card and software to burn DVD's and can take this off my hands.
I'll even throw in some free shows on DVD if you want. Again, I paid $200 plus
tax for this bundle, I have the original box, receipt, etc. I have maybe used
the software 5 times at the most. Please make me a reasonable offer if you
can use this product. And don't be shy, I am negotiable. I take paypal too, so
you can pay me with a credit card if that helps. I would rather sell it to
someone here than have to go the ebay route.
2) The free Car DAT has been spoken for. Sorry :(
3) It's been a while since I've offered a B+P or any shows on here. It's not
because I don't like you guys. I just rarely have time to mess with it.
However, it's late and I'm feeling generous. Seven years ago tonight I was in London
and saw one of the last few Phish shows I thought was really good. Time flies
and it's crazy sometimes when I look back on life and see how much different
I was when I was younger. I hope we've all evolved for the better. I'm no
longer that enthused about Phish, but if you are, and would like a copy of this
show (great Chalkdust, first ever Walfredo, Peaches, Harry Hood. Also filler on
disc 3, first ever Twist Around/Piper from Dublin 6/14/97, the best version
ever) send me an e-mail. I'll take all that reply. It's a freebie.

99% Isopropyl Alcohol (comes in many brand names, but always
called Isopropyl Alcohol) and a foam tipped swap. Gently swipe
the swab horizontally (with the circle of the drum) back and forth
across each head. Usually, you can hold the swab steady and
rotate the drum back and forth with your finger. DO NOT swipe
the swab vertically across the head, or touch the heads with
anything but the foam tip of the swab. Give the assembly plenty
of time to dry before loading a tape.
If others have better/additional information I'd like to hear it myself.
The only brand-name head cleaning solutions I've ever seen were
just 99% Isopropyl with some color added. This has worked for
me on all types of helical scan tape machines (DAT, VTR, VCR)
for many many years.
