i have had two instances where the CDs i was sending were possibly examined
by the authorities. once i sent CDs to europe. the package arrived with the
CDs intact but there was some paperwork attached indicating the package had
been opened and inspected by customs.
the other time was sending CDs to a friend in the us. the package arrived,
opened, with nothing in it.

Hello,
I'm searching for new worldwide shows (especially
french tour 2003 but any era is welcome) for the
british band Muse.
I've taped them twice:
- 11/02/03 Geneva, switzerland (D8 + OKM II R)
- 11/10/03 Lyon, France (D8 + OKM II R)
and I have quite a big list of them.
If someone taped them recently...please drop me a
line.
And if someone is more interested in other bands I've
also taped Franck Black + Serafin in November 2003,
Placebo in october. All requests for my list are
welcome!

I do a lot of international trading - this could explain why I have been
getting some packages returned and one package I sent of 10 DAT's never
showed up - I have had some packages sent to me that have taken MONTHS to
arrive - wonder if anyone here in the states has ever been nailed on any of
these charges - wonder if were going to see web lists coming down (like the
one I have) - should be interesting!

This band is cool with taping and is original, skilled
and just plain fun to listen to ... but yet there are
almost no tapes in cirulation. They play sorta punky
folk, with guitar, bass, drums, harmonica, fiddle and
cello.
To save space here i'll just post a link to their tour
info (there are also mp3s on their site if you want to
check them out
http://defianceohio.terrorware.com/index.php
Please email me if you plan to tape any shows on this
tour. Thanks for the space.

Subject: Odd TicketMaster problem
Date: Wed, 18 Feb 2004 12:56:12 -0500
Anyone good with Internet Settings/cookies etc?
I've got a question about TicketMaster.com and IE6.0. Sometimes when I =
look for tickets, I will open several browsers for the same show, and =
try to buy 1 ticket on each window. This usually shows me several =
tickets that are available. This works fine as long as I don't put in 2 =
request at the same time. In that case, I used to get the "Access is =
currently limited" error. =20
Within the past month, I have used this method, but now I am running =
into big problems. While this method works for a few ticket pulls, =
eventually I have trouble getting to the TicketMaster.com site. Then =
eventually it locks me out. It is as though the site is not there.
At this point, I can close all browsers and I try to goto =
www.TicketMaster.com again, and it says "Site Not Found." I use IE 6.0 =
and Netscape - neither of them will connect to TicketMaster. I have =
another PC in my office - that PC connects to TicketMaster without any =
problems.
I tried removing all cookies, deleting Temporary Internet Files, and =
killing all Spyware. Last time this happened, I updgraded to the latest =
version of IE6.0 and was able to fix it. Now, that isn't even working. =
I don't understand why both Netscape and IE6.0 can't connect to =
www.ticketmaster.com
Has this happened to anyone else? I'm assuming that they are mad that I =
used multiple windows on the same show. What have they changed on my pc =
that won't allow me to connect to their site? Anyone have any ideas? =
We have no problems with firewalls or big brother here.=20

Hey Now!
I have seen Drums & Tuba a number of times, but always in the opening slot.
When they headline a show, do they play one long set or do they take a break
and play 2 sets?
Also, is SBD access possible?
Thanx!

Other than this list, does anyone have some suggestions for places to post
or look for posts of people wanting to trade? I used to post at resources
for tape traders. You could post specific wants or lists of extras for
trade. All suggestions welcome - we better get in all the trading we can -
quick before we start getting sued by the artists!

Hello All,
Andy Summers is getting ready for a tour of Europe and I am hoping I can
find some tapers out there that can help me by recording his gigs. If anyone
can make it to any of these shows to tape Andy, please let me know. He is
not taper friendly. Thanks,

Here are some DATS up for offers. Some are FM masters, others are just
shows I got for friends and don't want anymore.
1.
Jethro Tull 1970 Chicago Aragon Ballroom FM Master of rebroadcast
48kHz (last 10 sec. cut!) 1hour
Steve Earle 10/97 Berwyn, IL Fitzgeralds FM Master or rebroadcast 32kHz
1 hour
2.
Lenny Kravitz -both shows FM masters of rebroadcast
11/98 Orlando, FL 90min 32kHz commercials on the half hour if I recall
1990 Chicago, IL Metro 44.1 kHz
3.
Prince 8/22/86 Stockholm Isstadion -nice soundboard, no hiss
Lenny Kravitz 5/24/90 London, UK Town & Country Club -sounds like an FM
4.
Fugazi 3/9 & 3/10/99 Hollywood, CA the Palace
SSSS Soundboard by fellow dat head Gary Davis
5.
Fugazi 3/8(show) & 3/10/99(soundcheck) Hollywood, CA the Palace same
as above source
6.
Fugazi 3/9 & 3/10/99 Hollywood, CA the Palace again SSSS soundboard by
Gary
I don't want anything by these bands in return. I'd like 2-3 cds for
each of these DATS. I'm looking for stuff by Shellac, Melt Banana, Ex
Girl, Melvins, old US hardcore punk shows, High on Fire, Jesus Lizard,
big black, Acid Mother temple, Cramps, Government Issue, unsane,
cutthroats 9, Servotron, PW Long, Patsy Cline, early Bob Marley shows
or a good copy of 9/22/80 final show, burning spear, Jackie Mittoo,
early Ramones, Yoshihide Otomo, KK Null, Zeni Geva, Monster DVD, Gugan,
Make Up, Nation of Ulysses, Bad Brains(not recent stuff), Ruins,
basically I dig noisy stuff with a few exceptions.
I know this is a long shot on this list but its worth a shot.
thanks,
Geoff

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for a recommendation on a sound card for my PC running xp pro. All I want to be able to do is plug in my Tascam DA-20 in a digital way. I see ways of doing this for tons of different prices. What are some of you useing. How much sould I spend? My dats are all recorded in 48k if that makes a difference.
Thanks
Kevin
