What is unbelievable about this is that I can't pay people to take DAT tapes off my
hands, and I've got dozens of them just ready for the trashcan. People are still buying
NEW tapes? I've got some 8-track tape blanks you might be interested in then.

Jonathan

As seen posted on other boards now with a lower price.
Deck has seen 50 hours of use. Comes with all acessories and it's original
box. The Oade S/PDIF digital I/O cable has been in use for several years but
never in the field, works perfectly.
I'm looking to sell this this week hence the lower price. Contact me if
you're looking for a new DAT deck.

Hello,
I use a Sony TRV-30 MiniDV camcorder, using a BeachTek DXA-4 Audio Adapter
and Audio Technica AT822 stereo microphone to record live music at
festials, concerts, and bars. The sound I can get out of this setup is
really good and allows me to make DVDs with a much higher quality than the
camera microphone. I can also strip the wav file off the tape and I have
a easy way to just get the audio if I do not want to make a video.
On to my question. My camera does not have a way to disable the Automatic
volume limiter system (AVLS) with the audio feed that comes into the
camera. I want to be able to record at as high a level as possible,
without making the AVLS activate.
I am looking for something that I can add into my setup that will allow me
to see the levels of the signal that is either coming from my microphone
or Audio Adapter. The DXA-4 does has leveling knows that I can turn to
adjust the output to the camer, but nothing I can use to actively moniter
it. If I has an external moniter then I could make sure I was recording
at the best possible level. Right now I just have to play it by ear and
check the sound on the tape in between sets.
I am looking for something that is protable and I could power off of
batteries or plug in power.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated,
Jim

Hi everyone,
I have a Sony TCD-D3 that I am selling. I am the original owner of this
recorder.
Along with the recorder itself are the following items:
- Original manual
- Fiber optic SPDI/F cable
- carrying case
- dead NiCd battery
- ac power supply/batter charger
- Sonic Studios 6C battery pack - this holds 6 C size akaline batteries and
plugs into the external power input of the deck. This battery pack does
have a crack in the plastic that I'm in the process of super gluing back
together.
