Hi all. I'll reply on list so everyone knows. Audio/video/whatever you're setup, Dada is cool with it. You may
need to speak with the tour manager prior to bringing gear in, but otherwise you're good to go. Joie hates the way
SBD tapes sound, so it's mics only.
I'll be taping their upcoming St. Louis show, so drop me a line if you get any good shows, audio and/or video.
Also, go to www.dadatheband.com to check out the trading board setup there.

No doubt that the Office Max $2.53 per 90 +tax is a good price. But...is
this the very best price out there?
Where's everyone getting the best deals on new DAT or DDS tapes?
For me, although I've started to retread DAT's, I tend to like to use
something new if I'm the only taper.

No doubt, Office Max is liquidating their stock as it isn't very
profitable for them to keep them on their shelves these days. This is a
great price, but I suspect that once they're gone, they're gone.

I've had nothing but good luck with Masterpiece AV/Dale Pro Audio so I
don't mind giving them a plug. They may be a bit more at $2.99 a tape,
but six months from now, you'll probably still be able to get them at
this price. Don't forget to check out their other great products.

Hi all,
Low noise laptop
=======================
I am using a vxpocket and a laptop for recording.
The laptop I have makes fan-noise (cooling) and hd spin noise.
Do you know a (small) laptop -brand and type-
that makes no or hardly no cooling and hd spin noise ?
Thanks for answering.

I'll pay for your ticket / blank and a beer its a sxsw show I don't think
that will mean open taping is not allowed but you might want to check into
that. Auf der Maur does allow audience taping so you should be fine.

Also does anyone have any other auf der maur shows they'd like to trade? I
only have a couple shows from the apc tour as well as a few shows from the
canadain tour in 2003. I'm looking for any show I don't have.
thanks
Andrew

Am I missing something here? Cassette House <http://www.cassettehouse.com/>
has 10-Pack MAXELL 90 Meters/180 Minutes DDS Grade tapes for $22.95. That's
$2.30 per tape (cheaper than any price quoted thus far in this thread). And
I'm sure I could find even lower if I tried. A few months ago, I was buying
Sony DG-90P DDS tapes for $2.09 a piece (in 10-packs) from Dale Pro Audio

I can't make it to the March 13 Las Vegas Metallica show and need to get rid
of my ticket.
It is on the floor and the show is sold out. Tickets are selling for $100
or more on eBay and even more at ticket resellers.
I just want to get rid of it and will be happy to get the face value of $78.
The only twist is I want to sell it to someone that I can get the
money/deliver the ticket in person rather than mail. I live in North San
Diego county so let me know if you are interested, otherwise I'll get rid of
it on eBay.
Thanks
Charlie

Subject: junior brown?
Date: Wed, 25 Feb 2004 18:28:54 -0500
hello....can anyone provide a 'yes' or 'no' concerning junior brown's taping
policy? im assuming 'no', but one never knows!
since this list seems a *little* dead as of late, i do want to let you kind
folks know that ive got John Tsalikes' "Taxicab Adventures" cassette
tape>cdr transfer done and indexed and the like. there seemed to be some
interest in this a few months back, and i'd like to confirm that the
interest is still there! for those puzzled by this, John was a taper of
many a famous gig and he passed away late last year. his 'day' job was a
taxi driver in the Tampa area and he stealth audio taped some of his more
'eccentric' passengers' ramblings over the years. the tape i have came
directly from J.T. a couple of years back after he noticed some 'oddball'
items on my trade list. this tape has a strange 'raymond & peter' kinda
vibe to it. not 100% 'bust your gut' laughing material, but highly
enjoyable none-the-less!
im down with a few cd b&p's, but im considering a torrent seed on STG just
to get it out there a bit easier.
ill take 5 b&p right now, unless the Harris poll says just do the STG
torrent.
