BWT: Jerry Garcia: Interview from 10-2-77 pre-show, Paramount Theater,
Portland, OR 1 disc
Some tape hiss in Right channel but interesting none the less.
Garcia talks to unknown people backstage. Topics of discussion include the
upcoming trip to Egypt in 1978, the upcoming tour, tuning guitars and
pianos, Bill Walton, the Englishtown show. Sounds like drug use is involved,
as toking and snorting sounds are present. Date is determined by references
to "show last night" (the Dead played Oct. 1 and Oct. 2/77 in Portland),
reference to just starting the tour in Seattle, and other references.

I have a friend in Ca who is going to try and tape his first show soon. It's
a taper-friendly band playing at McCabe's. McCabe's web site states no
photos or recording of any kind. Does anyone know if they might allow
recording at the discretion of the band, or is it a strict rule? He's
prepared to stealth, but would prefer not to if it isn't absolutely
necessary. Thanks!

The mixer I originally recommended is small and battery powered.
But it lacks "solo" buttons and has only 5 stereo pairs of inputs.
(10 inputs total if you're willing to put things hard left or hard
right).
It's called a Rolland MX-5 and lists for $200, but I bought it (many
years back) for $99 at Guitar Center.

Hello board:
I updated my PC and need a card to transfer DAT>PC>CD
I previosly have a Soundblaster live value along with
the http://www.opticompo.com/ POFP interface
I have read and researched here about various cards
for the job.........bit by bit transfer.
Zoltrix Nightingale Pro 6 card is recomended and has a
nice low price tag, but cannot locate a place to by
it.
Need help here....where can I get it?
Or....... any recomendation for a similar card?
looking something between the price range of $40 up to
$100 or $150
Thanks!
Ed :-)
