From: twoheadedboy@stonepool.com Subject: Going out of business sale Reply-To: twoheadedboy@stonepool.com Date: Thu, 25 Mar 2004 21:27:35 -0500 The taping business, that is. I'm selling my whole rig. Creative Labs Nomad Jukebox 3 (20GB) - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3086969820&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:US:1 (includes all cables and software, leather case, and one extra battery) Latest firmware upgrade on this. I know there's some here who don't believe this puts out quality recordings, but in my limited experience with it (see below) I've not seen one dropout. With the two batteries, I've taped 4 straight hours and the battery indicator was still showing full, I believe it's listed to be able to record 12 hours on two full batteries. The new firmware allows you absolutely gapless recording; before when you created a new track real-time, there was a second gap. No longer. Sonic Studios DSM-6S/EL microphones mounted in DSM-WHB Headband Windscreen This is sweet, they look like headphones and it ensures the mics are unaffected by wind and are always pointed optimally. Also good for those who like these types of microphones but don't like to wear glasses at concerts. Sonic Studios PA-24NJ Preamp Includes +10db/+20db gain switch and 45hz/90hz bass roll-off switch. Clipping indicator. Was a little pricey, but great quality and combines the pre-amp, mic powering, and bass roll-off functions in one device that's smaller than an MD recorder. This is the second time now I've had to do this in 4 years (fire sale my rig), must be bad luck when I get a taping rig or something...this time, I've been unemployed for almost 2 months now, and I need this to pay bills so that I don't get evicted or have my electricity cut-off, and so my wife can continue college next semester. Any serious offer entertained, with preference given to those who would want to buy all three items. I bought all this equipment in September 03 and it's been used about 10 times since then, all in absolute perfect shape. Paid a total of $350 for the Nomad package, the Sonic Studios preamp runs $1000 and the EL mics in headband run $750. Please contact me with any offers or questions you may have. From: "carl beck" <fishwater@comcast.net> Subject: 4022's For Sale or Trade Date: Fri, 26 Mar 2004 05:14:48 -0500 I have a pair of 4022's in perfect shape with original boxes, manuals, screens, CX04000 XY/ORTF mount & heavy UA0896 DPA windscreens. I bought these last year on 3/27 from Sonic Sense. I have taped the cables together & store them in a sealed heavy zip lock bag at all times. I have used them less than 20 times, mostly with screens on unless XY. I would like to get $2700 or B/O. I would also be willing to trade them for an AKG stereo mic. Carl

From: casey <vttaper2001@yahoo.com> Subject: Deep Fried 3/25/04 Date: Fri, 26 Mar 2004 09:39:14 -0800 (PST) This band is hot! They tore up The Rusty Nail in Stowe, VT last night with a crowd of about 150 people. I was the only taper there besides the band and they weren't doing a board just room mics too. I forgot to get a setlist, to busy hanging with epople I haven't seen since I moved out of Stowe in '84. Tape sounds nice just need to get a setlist and transfer it this evening to offer it up. ===== Make Tapes Not war Casey __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! From: "slowdivingblue ." <slowdivingblue@hotmail.com> Subject: of montreal tapers? Date: Fri, 26 Mar 2004 22:13:04 +0000 i am looking for other tapers for this band, both past and present. i believe this band is taper friendly [venue permitting, as always!] and they'll want a copy of your recording. they are playing some nice low-key venues across the country in support of their new album; you can see tourdates here: http://www.ofmontreal.net/shows.html _________________________________________________________________ Get rid of annoying pop-up ads with the new MSN Toolbar – FREE! http://toolbar.msn.com/go/onm00200414ave/direct/01/
