hello everyone...i just got a really nice show from the shawn colvin, patty
griffin, dar williams, and mary chapin carpenter tour. but i'm not familiar
with carpenter's music or dar williams'. if anyone has a sample setlist from
a show from this tour, i'd greatly appreciate a copy to help me make art.

I have to keep pulling good tapes for the group, ya know? :)
Plus, I know there are musical folks here.
its up on ebay, but i'll yank it down for anyone who might want it.
Item number: 3714948230
Brand new condition, still under warrantee.
Original packaging. All other info is listed in the auction. its an
awesome keyboard for the money.

Rhodes, Hammond and other cool vintage sounds.

While I think the Josephsons and the Kiwis would be of
most interest here, since I'm selling other things as
well, I decided to keep the post intact.
Know that all gear has been used minimally and treated
with love. And when I say minimally, I mean it,
nothing here has more than 24 hours of usage under
it's belt except for the DPS16 which is somewhere
around 75. Mics were covered or kept in boxes when
not in use.
The reason for selling is that I now have access to
professional studios and find it much less of a
headache for me to focus solely on music and let other
people record me.
So without further ado (drumroll^^^)
<carpet unrolls revealing>>>
--A Matched Pair of Josephson C42 condenser mics.
Asking price: $850
--1 Audio Technica 4047/SV condenser microphone.
Asking price: $390
--An Akai DPS16 digital multitrack with an expanded
80GB harddisk, newest OS, an external Plextor SCSI CD
burner and protective carrying case all included.
Updated instruction manual as well.
Asking price: $730 Pictures are available.
--1 Rode NTK microphone with accessories and extras
(SM7 shockmount, power supply, cables and hardshell
carrying case).
Asking price: $390
--1 Shure SM57 microphone. Needs no introduction.
Asking price: $60
--2 Blue Kiwi microphone cables. Green and fancy.
Each: $20
All the items are in like new condition and include
all accessories. I'll ship everything in their
original boxes, except for the Rode NTK and the Akai
DPS16 which will ship in their protective cases
instead. Price does not include shipping and I expect
you to pay this. And please, no haggling. I
purposefully set my prices low to avoid it.
Whatever's left in a day or two will go up on e-bay,
lalalala....
Oh, and please don't hesitate to be in touch if you've
any questions. I'm kind and honest and will reply back
as soon as I can.
All the best,
Dave

Subject: recommendation for making a dat list?
Date: Tue, 30 Mar 2004 16:31:36 -0500
I haven't updated my dat list in about 7 years and don't like the format
I used to keep it in (just as a large text document). I'm going to
start from scratch and catalog all of my dats. I'm thinking about just
making an excel spreadsheet for them (as I do with my lists of cdrs,
cds, and concerts I've seen), in part because I like to be able to
quickly search by date or venue rather than just name. But I'm
wondering if there is something vastly superior that would be better.
I don't trade a lot (or have a web site) so maintaining something
on-line in html format isn't a high priority (I'm familiar with lists on
db.etree.org), but I would prefer it to be compatible with html (so I
could at least import the file into an html document if I want).
Any recommendations?
thanks,
Erik

Recorded Nickel Creek a week ago - have traded a few folks on the list for
it - at any rate at the end of the show they came up from in front of the
mics and did 4 songs - they are much lower than the rest of the show - I
have Cool Edit Pro version 2 and/or Feuiro - I undestand with either one of
the programs you can normalize or bring the decibals up of these tracks -
would you recommend this be done - leave as is - or do something different
when I transfer it from the master DAT to CDR? Any and all suggestions
appreciated.

I have a pair of 4022's in perfect shape with original boxes, manuals,
screens, CX04000 XY/ORTF mount & heavy UA0896 DPA windscreens. I bought
these last year on 3/27 from Sonic Sense. I have taped the cables together &
store them in a sealed heavy zip lock bag at all times. I have used them
less than 20 times, mostly with screens on unless XY. I would like to get
$2700 or B/O. I would also be willing to trade them for an AKG stereo mic.
