From: Eduardo Malvido <eduardomalvido@yahoo.com> Subject: Re: Zoltrix Nightingale pro 6 sound problem, need advise Date: Fri, 16 Apr 2004 10:14:48 -0700 (PDT) hello board Me again with an.... improvement :-0 I have uninstalled the card/drivers, changed the card to other PCI port, first the card alone then the daughterboard, the problem seems to be fixed, but....... I get a clesn signal but if you concentrate hearing the sound you can hear some distant "static" like "pops" this is bit more noticeable in quiter passages or when people are clapping. yikes I will test the card on a Win98 PC at work....................later that day........ Ok board Im at work and tested the card, fisrt of all since its a PC with win98 it installed CD software and drivers smoothly, I have the audio rack with more features! and the most important part.........the sound is pure and clean. So Iam missing something here? patches or whatever that I downloaded as an update for XP? that cuases the "static noise"? A place where I can download the complete installation CD with XP drivers/audiorack? not a patch Any doubts comments, suggestions, tips, REALLY appreciated, Ed :-0 Ed :-( __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? From: David Mobley <dmobley@fastmail.fm> Subject: F/T: Rasputina 4-13-2004, Atlanta GA. Reply-To: David Mobley <dmobley@fastmail.fm> Date: Fri, 16 Apr 2004 21:46:25 -0400 I think I remembered some people asking me about getting a copy when I asked about their taping policy, so I've got the show ready to trade now. I think it sounds pretty excellent. Source is SP-CMC-4 > SP-SPSB-1 (bass roll-off @95hz> D8(@48k), D8 > > UA-1D > CDWav -> CoolEdit (+3db volume, resample to 44.1) > CDWav > (track splits). I like all sorts of things, some good Rasputina stuff would be great but I'm not terribly picky. Also, for anyone who emailed me about the British Sea Power or Pretty Girls Make Graves shows, my recordings turned out mostly crap because of a broken microphone so no dice on those. (the BSP one doesn't sound terrible, but it's a faked stereo recording taken from the left channel and mixed to both so it'd be stereo and I guess I could trade it out too, but it really isn't the best.). If anyone else happened to record the PGMG show, it would really rock my socks to get a copy. Thanks.
From: "Don Landis" <dlandis1@cox.net> Subject: Opinions on STG Date: Sat, 17 Apr 2004 03:50:38 -0500 I post my own recordings on STG, never anyone else's. The shows I have posted are of groups that deserve a larger audience and STG is one way for these groups to be heard by a lot of people (potentially). All recordings are done with the permission of the artists and they receive a copy of the show. I have all but stopped trading CDRs through the mail. Sharing the groove makes a strong argument for paying $40 a month for broadband access. STG is a nice community, in my opinion. Lots of great music is available there. My question would be: Why would you want to restrict access to a live recording of a favorite group (assuming you have the artist's permission) when you can share it quickly and efficiently with hundreds of like minded fans? Don From: "Clint Ryan" <cpr12378@hotmail.com> Subject: Opinions on STG Date: Fri, 02 Apr 2004 14:01:18 -0600 ...Also, why would you want to post your show on there? Clint
